Self forgiveness is a critical part of self improvement. What you are trying to do is difficult, be kind to yourself even in your failures. Love yourself for your effort and try again.
You know that habit you are trying to build? Figure out why it matters right now.
It doesn’t have to be huge but there’s a reason you are doing this now vs last week or now vs next week. Why does it matter right now?
Identifying that can help improve intrinsic motivation.
One of the main reasons I started my podcast @tinyleaps and my recently launched app @upward_so is to take on the personal development industry and redefine how we approach making changes in our lives.
If you've got an iPhone and are trying to build (and stick with) healthy habits this year, check out my app Upward.
Here's how it works:

3. Find a partner
Being around people working just as or harder than you can renew motivation.
As you get further into your habit it may get harder to do because the initial motivation is gone.
Finding a partner to support you in those moments can be enough to get you going
How to stick to your habits 🧵

Sticking with it doesn’t actually have to be hard. Here are 3 tips…
2. Raise the stakes
We will do more to avoid pain than to gain pleasure.
If it’s more painful to do the thing than the perceived benefit, it will be avoided.
Raising the stakes (putting cash on the line can work) will make the habit more painful NOT to do.
