Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Secures Historic Deals with China, Delivering for American Workers, Farmers, and Industry https://t.co/WlGiq2SYSw
🧵🚨Here’s why #beef exports to China are a WIN-WIN for ranchers & consumers:
Historically, China has been a top 3 purchaser of tongues, tripe, & tendons + the #1 purchaser of hides & skins.
These products are rarely consumed by Americans who crave burgers, briskets, & steaks.
🇺🇸 🇬🇧 Honored to be at the White House this morning for the official arrival of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. A historic moment reaffirming the deep bond between the U.S. and the U.K. — a partnership that matters enormously for trade, diplomacy, and our shared future.
Speaker announcement 📣🇺🇸
We’re pleased to welcome @USDA Under Secretary Luke Lindberg @TheUSA to #EXIM26.
Don’t miss his remarks, including an important U.S. Department of Agriculture announcement on trade and foreign agricultural affairs!
🌾 #Ag is not a “flyover industry,” but one of the most strategic sectors in the world. Growing up in the Heartland is a competitive advantage in today’s global economy.
👆This is part of the message I shared with students this week at @usd’s Distinguished Speakers Series.
Yesterday in South Dakota, U/S Lindberg met with soybean growers and ag leaders to talk spring planting, exports, and new trade opportunities. Hosted by @sdsoybean, producers said recent trade agreements are building real optimism heading into 2026.
Important meeting with @SecRubio in DC. We discussed the increasing humanitarian needs worldwide – from Haiti to DRC, Sudan and beyond.
@WFP is grateful for the continued support from the American people, our single largest donor. Millions of lives have been saved because of it.
Fertilizers are a critical input for farmers across the globe.
I commend the G20 members who are engaging in this important topic and look forward to seeing progress towards a solution that advances food security.

What an inspiring visit! Our American Fulbright and Gilman Scholars spent last Friday visiting @WFP and @FAO, gaining valuable firsthand insights into their critical work to combat global hunger and strengthen food security. They engaged directly with leaders and experts, toured the facilities, and connected with U.S. Mission colleagues and fellow Americans working at Rome’s UN agencies.
Today’s scholars are tomorrow’s American leaders in multilateral diplomacy. Thank you to everyone who made this program possible!
We are grateful for the tireless work of @WFP teams delivering urgent, lifesaving assistance in the world’s toughest places. This mission matters, and it’s one we must keep strengthening.
👏 Real-time data is crucial to ensuring resources are targeted - kudos on this new tool.
We've just launched a game-changer for the fight against hunger.

Tropical Cyclone Maila hit Solomon Islands in early April, damaging homes & disrupting livelihoods. In response, @StateDept is providing life-saving shelter assistance, safe drinking water, sanitation support, & emergency relief supplies to communities hardest hit by the storm.
Congratulations to the #Artemis II team! Amazing to see ingenuity of humankind on full display! 👏
#Throwback to when my family visited the rocket before launch 🚀
🇺🇸 Thank you Secretary Rollins! You exemplify servant leadership and this is another example of the BIG vision you have for American #ag.
As the @UN process takes shape, we’re staying focused on USDA’s mission to feed people and open markets for U.S. producers! 🌾 🌽 🥛 🐷
I am so proud of the nomination of @USDA Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs, Luke Lindberg, to serve as the next Executive Director of @WFP!🌏🇺🇸💪
As Under Secretary, Luke has done an outstanding job helping lower America’s agricultural trade deficit by $14.7 billion, leading trade missions around the globe on behalf of agricultural producers, and re-emphasized the role of the American farmer in international food assistance.
In FY2025, USDA purchased and shipped 492,701 metric tons (MT) of U.S.-grown commodities, valued at $175 million, to 38 countries for McGovern-Dole and Food for Progress. Already in 2026, USDA has committed to purchasing at least 211,000 MT of U.S.-grown commodities, valued at $232 million to 7 countries for Food for Peace.
