Not only do we create gender for each other collectively, but Butler argues that via repetition we actually constitute our identity. This part really spoke to me, because the idea of creating oneโs identity instead of *expressing* some immutable internal thing made more sense.
@gothmusiclatam @AriDrennen I was shocked a couple of years ago to find out that one of my friends from high school was originally left handed and forced to switch. I'm thirty.
@JessFink Markoffs Haunted Forest in Maryland does still have some scarier bits where the actors interact with you, but I had a lot of fun when I went with friends a few years ago! They also have mini game type stuff like mazes & hayrides that you can do while waiting for entry
@LoreWithAnE @aliettedb Adding to this to say there are a couple of autopsy scenes that were a little hard to watch for me. Other than that, there is a lot of on-screen violence but they don't linger on it (firearms, mainly, with blood). That said I also really enjoyed it!
Ok whew I found it, although it is unfortunately NOT duking it out gladiator style with the centipede in my bathtub. Which has now also mysteriously disappeared, probably somewhere in the folds of my shower curtains that I am absolutely not touching until I have to.
Just watched all of Only Murders in the Building in one laundry-folding sitting and now I need more non-cop-centered classic murder mystery vibes if any of my 12 followers have recs
@Delafina777 @RottenInDenmark Thank you for calling this out. I'm aroace & it was a little upsetting when that thread showed up on my feed yesterday and no one in the comments was speaking up or seemed to even realize that queerplatonic isn't a new concept.
