@JDVance @SenatorHick : WRF model data only generated at NCAR is a KEY factor for global forecast. Models like that don’t exist anywhere and as a retired forecaster I know how critical it is for dust, smoke prediction

@JDVance I don’t post often, but the literal stupidity of trying to close or move NCAR might be the dumbest thing. As a forecaster It’s more important than DC knows.. Don’t do it!!! Don’t let politics get in the way. AI can’t do wha we do and we need NCAR. PS I’m a loyal Rep.

@LeaderJohnThune DONT CLOSE NCAR, as a meteorologist it’s a vital source of data for thousands of forecasts…to include DoD! data flows into hands of military forecasters worldwide. The weather is hard enough to predict. F all the political. Do what is right! PS I’m a republican.
