i just built a skill that lets Claude Code actually watch and analyze any video you throw at it

the biggest limitation with Claude has always been that it can't actually watch videos. it just looks at individual frames and tries to piece together what's happening. which means you miss all the pacing, the audio, the flow, everything that actually makes a video work.

this skill fixes that. it gives claude native video understanding so Claude is actually watching the full thing, not just guessing from screenshots.

drop in a competitor ad, a viral TikTok, a UGC video, a screen recording, whatever. Claude watches it and hands you back a full creative teardown. hook breakdown, target audience, angle, beat-by-beat structure, on-screen text with timestamps, dialogue, everything.

It's in there, u just gotta find it. gotta train urself to identify & "pull out" ur own genius signal. It's a whole different operating system, and 99% of people saying shit & sealclapping shit can only pull from 1. But they are energetically blind. They are so balls deep in manicuring a hyper-specific self-image for the world that they've forgotten what's underneath the self-management. They've disowned expression. Who they truly are is crying beneath their armor that's earned them 'respect'.

Your life has seasons.

Each one is unique. Characterized by its own distinct desires, struggles, opportunities, and identity.

But one reflection I've had recently is just how easy it is to completely disassociate with the present season.

To give all your time and energy toward a longing for some nostalgic memory of a prior season or an anticipation for some beautiful state of a future season.

You look back at the past and all you see is sunshine. Because it all worked out. You forget (or glaze over) the struggle you endured. You're here today. You made it. You're alive. You're doing fine.

You look forward at the future and dream on what could be. You'll have so much more. More freedom. More purpose. More health. More deep connection. More everything.

The past is beautiful and the future feels limitless. So, logically, you slowly start to treat everything about the present as the bridge. A dash connecting your past and your future. A gap to be crossed as quickly as possible.

Everything you do today is in anticipation of some eventual end state.

I'm doing this now, so that I can have that later.

Unfortunately, the danger of that dissociation with the present is significant. You may spend your entire life living for a future that has a decidedly mirage-like property. You inch closer, but when it's right in front of you, it disappears and reappears on the horizon.

You may spend your entire life skipping through the present, deferring your presence, your joy, and your very humanity to a future that never comes.

In a classic French fable, a young boy is gifted with a magic ball of golden thread. He's told that if he simply pulls on the thread, time will leap forward. The catch, of course, is that once it's pulled, it can never be put back.

The young boy takes advantage of the newfound powers. Each time he's faced with a boring day at school, a frustrating set of chores, or a scolding from his parents, he pulls the thread, skipping through to the good parts.

As an adult, he continues, leaping through mundane struggles in his marriage, the friction of having a newborn, and the boredom at work. He finds himself pulling on the thread more and more, avoiding even the most minor inconveniences of his life.

But when he wakes up one day and sees an old man looking back at him in the mirror, he's filled with regret. He realizes in that moment that as he chose to skip through the boredom, struggles, and friction, so too did he miss the real texture of being alive.

How often do we all do the same? How easily do we default into this disassociation? Disconnecting from the present in anticipation of some future.

A mentor recently asked me this:

"Where are you going and why are you in such a rush?"

It hit me hard.

And to be honest, I haven't stopped replaying those words since he said them.

Why are you in such a rush?

The world wants you to rush into everything. Rushed decisions. Rushed conversations. Rushed relationships. Rushed timelines.

In doing so, you slowly relinquish your agency. You give up your claim on your own life. Surrender authorship to a pen that was never even yours.

In a world that wants you to rush, the ultimate act of rebellion is presence.

Be in the season you're in. Don't romanticize the past, don't fantasize the future. Be here. Be now. Be in this. All of its texture, depth, and struggle. All of its joy, tension, and pain. Sit with the uncertainty. Become friends with it. Fall in love with it.

Because every single thing you do today is something your younger self dreamed of and something your older self will wish they could go back and do.

The good old days are happening, right now.

And the next time you find yourself skipping through the present, remember these words:

the "six-figure launch" playbook that every info guru sells is a math trap designed to keep you launching forever

here's how it actually works. guru tells you to build a $997 course, run a 5-day challenge, spend $38,000 on facebook ads to fill it, open the cart for 72 hours. the revenue screenshot shows $87K. guru posts it on twitter. "six-figure launch in 3 days"

ad spend: $38,000. closer commissions at 12%: $10,440. funnel software and email tools for the launch cycle: $3,400. video production: $4,200. VA and support staff for launch week: $2,800. total cost: $58,840

net profit on an "$87K launch": $28,160

and that's the version where the webinar converts at 8%. most first-time launchers spend $38K and generate $23K because their conversion rate is 2.1%, not 8. underwater before they even pay the closer. guru tells them "you need to optimize your offer" and sells them another $1,997 course on how to do that

the real scam isn't the launch. it's what happens after the cart closes

revenue drops to zero. no backend capturing the 94% who watched but didn't buy. no warmup sequence moving them toward a smaller offer. the operator sits for 6 weeks building the next launch, spending the next $38K, hoping the next screenshot is bigger

guru launches 4 times a year. $152K in annual ad spend to keep the "multiple six figures" claim alive. profit margin on a launch-dependent business with no backend: 24-31%. on $340K in annual revenue that's $81K-$105K in take-home

meanwhile an operator with 11,500 followers and a backend (free guide feeding into a $497 course and a $5,000 partnership, connected through one capture point) does $6,200-$12,400/month on zero ad spend. the tweets and the guide cost nothing. the funnel runs on gumroad and tally. monthly overhead: $317

annual revenue on the low end: $74,400
annual cost: $3,804
net: $70,596

the launch guru cleared $81K on $340K revenue
the backend operator cleared $70K on $74K revenue

one of them needs $152K in ad spend to exist next year. the other needs a $20/month AI and 14 minutes a day

Coming back from the dead is arguably one of if not the very best masculine experiences for confidence

I have spoken to some very high level operators who have been destroyed and zero'd out in their mid thirties by bankruptcy, divorce getting ugly and a multitude of other things and those individuals who eat those shots and came back to the arena swinging and rebuilt themselves from basically nothing; everyone of those motherfuckers has that untouchable it factor swagger and its so potent

Those moments where you're down and out, took a risk which was 95% of NW; got clipped and now you barely have money for rent without hopping on uber for 30 hours a week for the next 4 weeks, or maybe you even go into heavy debt and get clipped

Those are the moments that forge the spirit and make the man in complete totality, if a man can connect to his vision for himself and revive from those angles from the dead he will know a strength and a power like no other

Fear is such a neurotic mistress, its so easy to be consumed by fear when everything is going perfectly and it can paralyse you even when things are great, but then once you get destroyed into the dirt and all your nightmares are at the door, all of them have transformed and become real now it is strangely at this very point when they have no power over you, the point where you're in the most danger you care the very least as you have gained strength from engaging and welcoming your shadows, once you welcome something and you are truly not bothered by it; you swallow its soul and it animates you into correct posture and life force and you can utilise that as an additional limb of some sort

It's never getting decimated that really deconstructs men, you will always live in a glass house afraid of the wind when you have never realised you can survive the coldest nights and its genuinely that realisation that is the foundation of becoming and growing beyond who you actually are

Unless you fail truly at some point, you will never develop the courage to be who you truly could be, as the protection of your little ego will prevent you from truly taking on the almighty behemoth challenges

Failing brutally atleast once destroys your ego and liberates you, it almost acts as an additional health bar

Always the dudes who have done the least who are the most stressed and the men who are the most calm who have been in the war the longest

Otherwise you will live to protect your illusions forever

then you may find yourself closer

and once you find yourself at last like a child in existence, then you find God

and from there your life may be a continuous play between you and God

until finally one is but a resonant reflection of God
