@DuncanStott Esp. In London, it concentrates a lot of suburban developments into small town/village style developments, often connected by rail. There's some room for mirror style expansions though.
Overall, London would be more car centric if all those green spaces are filled.
@getarealhaircut@vivian39_ I see tradespeople use bikes in London all the time. Cargo bikes usually. I've also seen motorbike tradies, and there's also loads who use the tube or bus.
@OpenChiswickW4@lewis_goodall Likely to only score a political point against the mayor and the MDC. The council is powerless against it so they can say lots of stuff to keep residents "happy" without actually having to do anything. Their legal challenge I think has been dropped already.
@OpenChiswickW4@lewis_goodall I don't think this is true. Tim Lord ran as a labour councillor, and conservatives are more often aligned with business interests in Soho.
@NewCor18146 There is not a surplus. There is a well documented deficit. "Empty" homes include houses between tenants or owners, in a state that's not fit for habitation, caravan homes for holidays, and so on.
It's bizarre to die on a hill that is so easily disproven.
