I have written to the Hon'ble Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Thiru. @AshwiniVaishnaw , seeking an investigation into the alleged misuse of reporting and grievance mechanisms to restrict lawful political expression on Instagram.

Accounts and posts critical of the TVK Government in Tamil Nadu are being repeatedly restricted, taken down and shown with reduced visibility. This raises serious concerns about whether state police machinery and other State resources are being misused against lawful political criticism.

I have urged the Ministry to examine the misuse of state authorities, seek information from Meta, and ensure that intermediary enforcement stays politically neutral, transparent, proportionate and in line with due process.

கைது செய்யப்பட்டவர்களை உடனடியாக விடுவிக்க வேண்டும்; அவர்களின் கோரிக்கையை நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும்.
