Thadou Inpi Manipur (TIM) has strongly condemned the recent surge in terror activities by Kuki Suspension of Operations (SoO) groups, accusing them of violating the peace agreement through acts of violence, extortion, and intimidation across Manipur.

Dear PM @narendramodi

We noticed your plan to visit Manipur despite your silence since 3rd May’23.

Manipur visit will hold meaning only if it addresses the real issues :

- displaced families yet to return home
- highways under siege
- buffer zones dividing communities
- extension of SOO despite militants’ role in the crisis.

Come with healing, or don’t come at all

Manipur needs healing,TBH if the visit doesn’t address these core issues what others reasons for me to welcome the visit. I in person would not be flatter with developmental or economic meagre packages . Please go back or kindly address core issues

Is this for wat the GoI had recently signed SoO with Kuki_Zo_Hmar militants, to give free hand in attacking civilians with sophisticated weapons? Y is GoI adamant in sowing seeds of communal discord between communities in India by signing agreement with arm terror groups

Historical dynamics between Manipur and the Naga Hills:

"𝑁𝑜 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑎𝑚𝑖 𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑑𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑎 𝑀𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑝𝑢𝑟𝑖 𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒, 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑖𝑚𝑚𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑠ℎ𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤."

Disclaimer: This tweet is not meant to offend any community but to expose a wrong narrative that Kuki protected Meitei from Naga attacks!

In his book 𝑴𝒚 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒑𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒈𝒂 𝑯𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔, Sir James Johnstone noted the authoritative dominance of Manipur over the Naga tribes (of the then Naga Hills) and the tributes exacted; this was put off during Manipur’s Seven Years Devastation (1819-1825). So King Gambhir Singh re-asserted Manipur’s authority after the war and stood up a stone in Kohima with his own footprints inscribed on it. He detailed how Nagas cared for that stone, see copies attached.

He also written:
“𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑢𝑝 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑁𝑎𝑔𝑎 𝐻𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑠 𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑎𝑖𝑔𝑛 𝑜𝑓 1879–80, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑁𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑔𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑀𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑝𝑢𝑟 𝑎𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑡𝑤𝑜, 𝑏𝑒𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡; 𝑖𝑓 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑑, 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑. 𝑂𝑛𝑒 𝐵𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑠𝑢𝑏𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑎𝑓𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑚𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑏𝑒 𝑚𝑢𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑖𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑤𝑜𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑑𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑚𝑢𝑟𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑎 𝑠𝑢𝑏𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑀𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑝𝑢𝑟. 𝐴 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑐𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑀𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑝𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑠 few 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑡𝑙𝑦 𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑡𝑐ℎ𝑒𝑑, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑘𝑒𝑑, 𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑦𝑒𝑑, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑒𝑥𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑.”

From these historical accounts, any narrative of Naga raids inside Manipur can be dismissed. But then, where the narrative that the Kukis protected Meiteis from Naga attacks came from? 𝐀 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐩𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟖𝟒𝟎𝐬!

This same narrative was parroted many times by Karan Thapar at @thewire_in in his interviews!

👉 Naga/Angami people of Naga Hills (of the then NEFA region) frequently raided nearby plain areas of Assam and these raids led to the creation of Assam Rifles as Cachar Levy in 1835 to protect British tea estates and their employees from these Tribal raids. See briefly here 👉https://t.co/oHL91rr5xF

Also a large Kuki settlement was planted by the Govt of Bengal in and around Langting for the same reason as above in 1835. Langting is a place in Assam, between the Naga Hills and Cachar district of Assam, see the map below. Perhaps, the purpose of this settlement was mixed up with that in Manipur to create the false narrative!

What can stop and heal #Manipur ?

Stopping mass deforestations that has been taken for mass Kuki’s Poppy plantation

‼️This is a video of an engineer who visited a village inhabited by Kukis and was aghast to find ‘ mass deforestation and mass poppy plantation’ alongwith illegal kuk immigrants setting up homes ‼️

The video was taken before May 2023 and shows the exact ‘core issues’ that is destroying Manipur and the root cause of serious environmental and climate change.

In this #WorldEnvironmentDay2025 , please help Manipur by addressing this mass #Deforestation and Poppy plantation

Continue page 1-2. Important information to all the top officers, Govt.of India.
In a democratic country like India, there is no space for such activities that rely on misinformation and manipulation. The creation of such fake news, accounts, habitual lies spreading out from the mouths of the Kuki-Zo community organizations and individuals are the main root cause of today's volatile conflict in Manipur. Such mushrooming of unlawful organizations among the Kuki- Zo Community has negatively impacted the peaceful coexistence of different communities in the state of Manipur.
Therefore, the Govt.of India and Manipur must be aware of the following acts:
Electronic Evidence not properly authenticated:
The Hon'ble Supreme Court in Anvar P.V. v. P.K. Basheer (2014) 10 SCC 473 has categorically held that electronic Evidence is admissible only if accompanied by a valid certificate under Section 65B of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872. In the present fake news, story, narrative of spreading false news by the Kuki-Zo community with some unlawful organizations and individuals no such certificate has been provided, rendering the electronic record inadmissible and reliable.
Therefore, the concerned authority of this nation should book and take punitive actions according to the laws against all the unlawful organizations and individuals who spread false reports, fake news and using of fake accounts in the social media.

Receipt of Kuki tenant settlers of Leilon Vaiphei paying rent to Konsakhul Liangmai Village authority in 1948.

Today the tenant settlers outnumbered the Liangmai village and even started assaulting the native by encroaching to their land.

Meanwhile, the WKZIC or Kuki Intellectual Council insists on their narrative of “time immemorial” without a shred of evidence, just poetic eulogies to bolster their claims.

Any Complaint??

[Koubru @koubru_lakpa]

BREAKING: Liangmai Nagas have asked the Chin-Kuki tenants of Leilon Vaiphei to leave within 15 days after a Naga woman was assaulted by Chin-Kukis on 07/01/25.

This is a good step as ungrateful free loading tenants can't be the owners and they have clearly extended their stay.

Liangmai Nagas should also ask all Chin-Kukis to leave from the Koubru range as well.

Manipur's Kangpokpi descended into chaos on January 3, as an armed Kuki mob, allegedly supported by militants, launched a brazen attack on the SP office. Manoj Prabakar, an IPS officer, was injured with a head wound.

But, what led this attack? Was the SP specifically targeted?
