Doug gave his buddy who owns a strip club $10M OF OUR TAXPAYER MONEY. That $ could have helped a crumbling school or an underfunded hospital. BUT IT DIDN’T. He also spent $55M of OUR MONEY on PC Party ads. That $ could have helped ed. & health. BUT IT DIDN’T.
When I worked at Sears in the early 90's, the people there built entire lives off those jobs.
The guy running appliances had three kids, coached little league every weekend, and retired after 32 years with a pension.
One of the women in customer service bought her first house working full-time there, and the older guy in hardware took the same vacation to the Ozarks every summer because he could actually afford to unplug for a week.
The managers knew everybody by name, the Christmas bonuses actually meant something, and the store was packed every holiday season because business was booming.
Nobody thought they were "stuck" working retail - it was honest work that paid enough to live with dignity.
Somewhere along the way, corporations started making record profits while the people keeping the place running could barely afford rent.
When exactly did a steady full-time job stop being enough to build a normal life?
The corruption of Doug Ford, a timeline:
1. Negligence during covid which caused many seniors to die due to inadequate care.
2. Billions of $ missing of covid relief funds.
3. Greenbelt scandal
4. Closing the Science Ctr by lying about the safety of it's structure.
5. Skills development fund. $Millions meant for job training being given to his buddies, like strip club owners.
6. Secret cell phone records and his refusal by the courts to have access to them.
7. Changing Freedom of Information laws to exempt him and his cabinet from any accountability.
8. Purchase of Private jet with zero public consultations.
My fellow Ontarians, can I please count on you to show up for the next election and vote this corrupt Premier out?
The majority of Ontarians will never use Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Let’s be honest it’s mostly used by privileged, wealthy people like Doug Ford and frequent business travellers.
So why should everyday Ontarians be paying billions in tax dollars for this when our public healthcare system is collapsing and public education is being underfunded?
That money should be going into hospitals, nurses, doctors, classrooms, and students not another convenience project for the wealthy.
🚨 #BREAKING: Doug Ford said little would change with freedom of information. Today we learned he quietly shut it all down — every request, every ministry.
Staff have been ordered to stop releasing records. They’re freezing you out.
What is he so afraid of you seeing?

BREAKING: Marit Stiles’ motion to ban the predatory practice of surveillance pricing in Ontario was voted down by Doug Ford’s government.
These are the faces of our elected officials who voted to side with corporations over working people. Remember them.
Doug Ford, days after being caught buying a $30M private jet on the taxpayers dime, didn’t even bother to show up for the vote.
Shameful.
The Manitoba NDP government passed a similar bill, the Saskatchewan NDP is proposing it, and Canada’s NDP proposed it before it was shut down by the Federal Liberals – and now the Ontario NDP’s motion was defeated.
It’s clear that the NDP is the only party fighting to make life more affordable for people.
More to come.
Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
The Ford Conservatives are trying to rewrite the rules to avoid scrutiny - and I’m not letting it slide.
I challenged the government’s changes to FOIs today because transparency isn’t optional. Ontarians deserve answers, not cover-ups. #onpoli
I’m sorry but the corruption in Ontario is an absurdity at this point. The fact that so many Ontario voters will remember Rae Days and Kathleen Wynne until they die while turning a blind eye to Ford’s blatant, repeated, documented mismanagement of funds is fucking cartoonish
This morning, I called for a vote: Doug Ford should personally cover any losses from buying and reselling his $30M gravy plane.
The purchase. The outfitting. The resale. All of it.
Spoiler: The Conservatives blocked it.
PM Carney: "Many of our former strengths, which rested on our close ties with the United States, have become our weaknesses now ... And while we have overcome the initial shock of the betrayal, we must never forget the lessons it has taught us. We must take care of ourselves."
