Went to a meetup last week. The guest was an author who writes everything in a notebook. Doesn't use any app.

I got a chance to look at his notes. Each page was filled with thoughts, ideas, fragments, sketches. It was simply beautiful. When he has enough, he goes back, connect the dots, and turn it into an article, a blog, even a book. He literally flips through the pages to find all the relevant content.

I’ve been doing the same thing on thinkdeli. I take a lot of short notes, and write down scattered thoughts and half-formed ideas. Hardly anything starts out as a full blog or a post. That is the whole point of thinkdeli anyway.

But, I couldn't flip through my notes on thinkdeli! I had to either search or use my mouse. So I built something last night. Added new shortcuts so you can glide through your notes without breaking your flow:
Hit `Ctrl + Alt + [` for the previous note and `Ctrl + Alt + ]` for the next one.

Until now I thought that having the AI bubble up the connection between notes was sufficient. But having this easy way to flip through notes feels like a super power suddenly. I think it feels so great because it feels close to the natural way I have become used to over so many years.

Of course, since everything is local first, it works instantly.

Gukesh is a Champion :)
18 year old is World Champion in Chess !!!!

His story is as extraordinary as his achievement.

Quoting from @niraj_sattikar 's article on Gukesh

"His parents decided he should focus solely on chess, so he stopped formal schooling after 4th grade. His dad, Dr. Rajanikant, an ENT surgeon, put his career on hold to support Gukesh's dream. He manages everything for Gukesh except the chess part. Gukesh first made waves when he became the National Chess Champ for the Under-11s. And get this, he learned chess the old-school way—no fancy chess engines, just books, teacher tips, and his gut instincts."

For a Surgeon to prioritize playing Chess over formal schooling, is some risk. Not many parents would dare to do this. But Gukesh must have shown signs of genius from a very young age, and his parents went all-in to make him the youngest champion ever.

Before him it was Garry Kasparov , who won at the age of 22

And its not just parents , but also the support from correct mentors.

Spend some time with us, and you'll realize it's a league of extraordinary gentlemen (and a few not-so-gentlemen).

Let's start with the heart and soul of our group: Augustine Sir. Not only is he an inspiration for his fitness and skill, but he's also the glue that holds this unconventional band together. And let's not forget the real reason we all show up: the post-game samosa and chai breakfast.

Our games are less about winning and more about cherishing the time together, celebrating our fading fitness, and reminiscing about how good we once were. For the younger players, it's about getting stronger and better with each game.

And let's not forget the kids who join us, inspiring us with their skills and reminding us why we love the game. From the gifted brothers Nishant and Krish to the resilient Adi, Jr. Santy, Shreyansh who is getting faster, better with time, and the ever-improving Ayush, they keep the quality of the game high and push us to be better.

Fab LA is more than just football; it's about friendship, laughter, and the love of the game. Whether you're here to relieve stress, meet friends, or simply enjoy a good game, Fab LA welcomes you with open arms and a hearty laugh.
