A young couple moved into a new house. The next morning while they were eating breakfast, the young woman saw her neighbor hanging the washing outside.

"That laundry is not very clean; she doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better soap powder. Her husband looked on, remaining silent.
Every time her neighbor hung her washing out to dry, the young woman made the same comments.
A month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her husband, "Look, she’s finally learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this?"
The husband replied, "I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows."

And so it is with life… What we see when watching others depends on the clarity of the window through which we look.
So don’t be too quick to judge others, especially if your perspective of life is clouded by anger, jealousy, negativity or unfulfilled desires.

"Judging a person does not define who they are. It defines who you are."

This is Frank and he has had a coffee stand at the top of the steps at Bethnal Green tube for as long as I can remember.

When the new restaurant/coffee shop next door opened along with another high street outlet opening across the street, Frank suddenly found that his license from the council had been revoked and he was chucked off his stand.

I believe it was to make way for these new shops to take his regular custom. They didn’t need him in the way of gaining maximum profit... so Frank was gone.

Well the locals were having none of it and a petition started demanding his return.

How dare they do this to him.
How dare these people smash his business and leave him with nothing.

After a lot of pressure the council backed down and Frank had his licence and pitch returned to him but sadly by that time Frank had sold his equipment to feed his family and try to survive.

So the good people of Bethnal Green started crowdfunding and here’s the result... Frank back in business on his old pitch with brand new equipment and even a little hut now to shelter him from the rain... Brilliant!!

He is truly the happiest man in East London and it’s wonderful to see.

It really does show that if we all stick together, stand up to them and just say no... the little guy can win.

Every weekend, 93-year-old Bob Williams walks into his local dollar store in Long Grove, Iowa, and buys a box of Herseys. Not those small, regular-sized candy bars… but the really big ones.

Bob, however, typically doesn’t enjoy them himself. He gives one to the cashier, and then the person waiting behind him in line.

And then he walks to the downtown area handing them out to everyone he sees… young, old, men, women, happy, sad…everyone. He has been doing this for the past 11 years and he’s known as “The Candy Bar guy.”

It’s estimated that over the years, Bob has handed out about 6,000 chocolate bars.

So why does Bob do it?

Because it puts a smile on everyone’s face. And THAT’S always worth it.

Great advice from Liam Neeson.

"They say the hardest thing in the world is losing someone you love. Someone you grew old with and watched grow everyday. Someone who showed you how to love.

It's the worst thing to ever happen to anyone. My wife died unexpectedly. She brought me so much joy. She was my everything. Those 16 years of being her husband taught me how to love unconditionally.

We have to stop and be thankful for our spouses. Because, life is very short.

Spend time with your spouses. Treat them well. Because, one day, when you look up from your phone, they won't be there anymore.

What I truly learned most of all is, live and love everyday like it's your last. Because, one day, it will be. Take chances and go live life. Tell the ones you love, that you love them everyday.

Don't take any moment for granted. Life is worth living 🤍

The only bird that dares to peck an eagle is the crow. The crow sits on the eagles back and bites it’s neck.

The eagle does not attempt to shake it off or fight it. It doesn’t spend its time or energy on the small nuisance. Instead, it just opens its wings and begins to rise higher into the sky.

The higher the flight the harder it is for the crow to breathe and to hold on, until it eventually falls off due to lack of oxygen.

Learn from the eagle and don’t spend your time fighting crows. Just keep ascending, they may be along for the ride in the beginning but they’ll soon fall off.

Do not allow yourself to succumb to these petty distractions. Keep your focus on the things above and keep rising.

Getting a surprising car bill is no fun for anyone. A mother took her young daughter with her into a tyre repair shop to fix a flat tyre. She could deal with that. It was what they told her soon after that had her shaking her head.

The woman, named Alex, stopped in to America’s Tyre in Hemet, California, to get her tyre repaired or replaced. But workers there, after a close inspection of the remaining tyres on her Silverado, told her they were ALL bald and in desperate need of replacement.

That stressed Alex out. She didn’t have the money to pay for all new tyres. But another customer heard her dilemma, and with hardly any hesitation at all, offered to pay for those new tyres she needed.

That customer, identified only as Phil, who is 70 years old, left Alex nearly speechless, except for saying thank you a lot. Everyone in the store was shocked at his kindness.

Says Sergio Rodriguez: “Alex said thank you about 100 times. Phil was mister smooth and humble, with a big heart. This man blessed this young lady and simply asked that she pay it forward. I absolutely love this. He dropped almost $1,500. Probably saved this girl’s life and her kids.”

The girls & I stopped at El Sombero for dinner on our way home. As we were coming in the restaurant there was a huge group of young men in front of us who had on Brandon Football Athletic wear, maybe 15-20 of them.

One of them opened the door for us and as we walked in three others that were sitting on a bench got up so we could sit down. We ended up being sat right away so we didn’t have time to sit down, but that really spoke to me. These young men were so nice and respectful and I thought its rare these days.

They ended up sitting near our table. I”m a people watcher, so I watched their interactions with each other. Once their food was served every one of them bowed their heads, removed their hats (if they had one on), and they PRAYED! This spoke to me even more. It was just 15-20 teenagers, no mamas, no coaches, no girlfriends or any other adults around making them. They did it on their own because they wanted to.

I don’t know any of these young men or their parents, but if I did I would congratulate them on raising these young men right. With all of the negativity going on in the world right now this made my heart smile and gave me hope for the future.
