8 yr old: I’m confused about they/them pronouns.
Me (ready for Serious Parenting): OK, what are you confused about?
8 yr old: When do you use they and when do you use them?
Yep, it was a grammar question. He understood the rest. The kids get it.
Oh no @RobynsWorld. Like many OGs, you leave me w/great memories—a fave: we were on a media thing together & teamed up to create a breakfast cereal for Moms w/teens. It contained coffee & anti-anxiety meds; didn’t go over well 🤣 TY for sharing your light w/me. #Robynsworld 💔
So, my daughter's 9-year-old white friend said she doesn't like the fact that Ariel is now Black. My daughter's response - "I liked Ariel when she was white. Why can't you also like Ariel being Black? I'm happy she's Black too". Gosh, I love this 11 year-old daughter of mine ♥️
Abortion is legal in New Jersey.
Today, I signed legislation to protect the right of out-of-state patients to receive abortion care in New Jersey, and to protect the health care professionals providing them.
New Jersey will remain a beacon of freedom for every American woman.
Here are just some of the ways members of New Jersey's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities and their allies can celebrate Pride this June: https://t.co/n1dwRNH7uw
@lafabulous_@AliceRHamilton Also, please let’s make it a normal practice to text rideshare license plates & driver info to a trusted friend before getting in the vehicle. Share your locations while traveling, make a call & be clear that someone knows you are in a rideshare.
@Mom101 @TueNight @coolmompicks@coolmomtech@thisfullhouse Agreed. @thisfullhouse, your piece made me cry. How beautiful you got to hear and help her tell her story. Liz, I’m thinking of your mother “hiking, in a forest, at night, without a flashlight, no coat, barefoot, in December” as I read the news from Ukraine every day. @TueNight
I was the first generation in our family to be born here in the U.S. — still, my kindergarten teacher was surprised that I spoke very little English — @SesameStreet was my ESL class. RIP and thank you, Luis! 💔
I wrote a story for @TueNight, which I hope you read and please feel free to share it with your kids/grandkids — I sure did/am. https://t.co/6yruVr4hIo
