Given that a top 4 pick wasn’t meant to be, I’m extremely happy with the offseason (so far). Kelly Oubre Jr. was THE guy that I wanted as a backup wing… and 2 yrs $16.5 mil is an absolute steal for the value he can provide for Pacers. Kam Jones and Potter were the players I wanted to see the Pacers move off of - they did that. And I’m happy that Q’s contract became guaranteed… and Kobe Brown is being brought back on a 2-way is just a bonus. Nance Jr & Braden don’t move the needle for me, but I also don’t have a problem with them on the roster for now. And acquiring them helped to create a little financial flexibility.

I really hope that the Pacers can retain Slawson, as he is a legit NBA player with an upside to positively impact games. Getting him on a two-way would be ideal, at least until we can convert him later in the season…. But I just hope that another team doesn’t swoop in and sign him to a standard in the meantime.
