When US is handling the election certification, HK gov just arrests nearly all pro-democracy activists and nominees in the primaries today.
As a nominee in the democratic primaries, I urge the US gov and Free World to stay alert and stand with HK by all means.
@JoeBiden@POTUS
😭 Lots of friends arrested today in #HK
Remember the international community (esp the UK) has legal obligations to prevent this from happening.
If we get another hand-wringing 5-eyes statement about “serious concern” I swear....
The arrest of 50+ pro-democracy activists sends a signal that political pluralism is no longer tolerated in #HongKong. The #NSL is being deployed to crush dissent and stifle #HumanRights. The #EU calls for their immediate release

53 most prominent politicians and activists who participated in the democratic primaries have been arrested this morning. This unprecedented mass arrest has been the biggest crackdown since the implementation of the National Security Law in Hong Kong.😡
#HongKong
Hong Kong authorities have once again bent the rule of law out of all proportion to punish pro-democracy lawmakers for 2019 Yuen Long protests, while allowing violent thugs who assaulted passengers at Yuen Long to get off scot-free. https://t.co/wtM4PkFEn6
Thanks for standing with Hong Kong 🇮🇹
Hope that more and more people in the world realise the dangers of the Chinese Communist Party to our democracies and take adequate counter actions💪
Thank you for the help from @ipacglobal for arranging the trip👍
#HongKongers: today I wrote these for you 👇
You know the truth
Whatever anyone in government says - whatever the Chinese Communist Party says - a deer is definitely not a horse :)
They lie simply because they want to prove their authority, though they have no legitimacy
Admin: @cheuktinglam has been arrest. He is accused of rioting in Yuen Long on July 21 2019.
The Police also accused him of conspiring with others to damage property and obstructing the course of justice in Tuen Mun on July 6 2019
He is currently in the Sha Tin Police Station.
Why have elected legislators @cheuktinglam
and @tedhuichifung been arrested, instead of the pro-CCP thugs who so brutally assaulted people at #YuenLong?

Today is an historic day. After vigorous diplomatic outreach by President @realDonaldTrump, Israeli Prime Minister @netanyahu and Emirati Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed have signed an agreement to fully normalize relations between their two great nations.
#HongKongers - & people throughout China under the repressive, mendacious Chinese Communist Party:
Today as we remember the terrible massacre of pro-democracy protesters in Tiananmen Square & throughout China, I wrote this: 👇
Because I ❤️ you. And I'll fight for your freedom‼️
Around the world, there are 365 days in a year. Yet in China, one of those days is purposely forgotten each year. In Taiwan, there were once days missing from our calendar, but we’ve worked to bring them to light. I hope one day China can say the same.
