The more I watch this woeful officiating in this game, the more I realise that it's both that this referee is incredibly incompetent and is also scared of being firm against the "host" nation.

I have no opinion about him, but as I read tweets, from adoration to hatred to celebration of his death, all I can think of is that in a few days everyone tweeting will move on with their lives. But his wife and young children will carry this grief for the rest of their lives.
