@alexeyguzey Optimal conditions are also critical - all the traits above would be worthless if born in North Korea, as an example. This effectively limits the pool of such potential people to ~Western/US citizens imo. Even Musk probably wouldn't achieve much if he stayed in SA.
@MyLordBebo This is very cool! Czech speaker here, can understand pretty much all of it.
Btw, the name of the language wasn't clear from the original post - it's actually called "Interslavic".

Case in point: there's no way to build a backdoor that only the "good guys" can use.
When the entire technical community says that the EU's ChatControl legislation + similar pose serious cybersecurity threats, we're not exaggerating for effect.
Reminder that “chat control” is an effort to legislate the installation of mandatory scanning for all private conversations across the EU, including end-to-end encrypted conversations. This tech isn’t ready, isn’t safe, and fundamentally isn’t a good idea.
@matthew_d_green I believe @eduroam, the widely adopted standard for network authentication in academic institutions, is also based on RADIUS. Not sure if this vul is relevant for eduroam - but I can imagine some cutting edge/sensitive research being a target of malicious actors.
On a panel today, EU Commission VP @VeraJourova admits that proposed CSAM scanning / #ChatControl rule clarifies "that even encrypted messaging can be broken for sake of better protection of children"
Previously, EU officials stated no one would be forced to break encryption
I don't understand why this nonsense ever spread so far or why anyone is taking it seriously, but if you need someone to say it's all nonsense, here we go: it's all nonsense.

I have always found it intriguing how "Middle East" translates into Czech as "blízký východ" (=nearby/close East). We're somewhat geographically closer than (let's say) UK, but it does not feel like enough to justify the difference.
The negligence in cases like this one is just remarkable. All it would take is just ONE of the authors/journal editor/reviewer(s)/proof editors actually reading it. But hey, the publishing/citation farms keep churning...
While going through my queue of papers to read, I have (finally) read Sara Hooker's "The Hardware Lottery". For anyone interested in application-specific (AI) computing hardware/architectures, this is definitely worth a read. https://t.co/Wdmoc92gkr
A technology quietly maturing over the last 10 years that few people talk about.
But it's at the bottleneck of current limitations on GPU performance and compute.
A 🧵 on how Silicon Photonics will enable the next computing hardware revolution, starting with interconnect

Regulation ("The Brussels Effect") cannot be the principal EU export if it wants to stay technologically relevant, competitive and independent.
1/ On the EU Giving Up
I watched a panel on AI (machine learning) at a conference hosted by the European Commission.
9 people on the panel
Everyone agreed that the USA was 100 miles ahead of EU in machine learning and China was 99 miles ahead except for those who believed...
Nuclear is the best energy there is today:
• Best safety
• Best for the environment
• Most reliable
• Most sustainable
• Politically ideal
• Can be best economically
This thread will explain why, with details:
@libsoftiktok I'm surprised how few people here mention this likely being a parody/satire (I'm quite sure that's the case). She goes way too far into the absurdness to make me believe she truly meant any of this.
