i want love. i want to be understood. i want to never feel alone. i want to come home to someone i miss all day when i'm at work. i want someone who motivates me. i want someone who trusts me. i want someone who loves me for me, not what i do. i want real love.
I’ve realized a lot of men really don’t like women being women anymore. Women can’t complain, can’t be a lil dramatic sometimes, can’t be sensitive, etc…. It’s almost like they want to be in a relationship with a man.
Your entire life people have tried to dim your light because they are intimated by you. You're different. People don't know how to react or how to accept people who don't follow the crowd. But that's okay. You don't need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.
Intimacy isn't only about sex. It's having heart-to-hearts, going on dates, dancing, sharing your childhood memories, thoughts, fears, dreams and hopes for the future. It's uncontrollable laughter, direct eye contact and feeling each other without touching—it's exchanging energy.
a woman's brain cannot relax until she feels physically & emotionally safe. many men don't understand how much energy women expend checking whether they're safe. providing an environment where she can turn off that part of her brain allows her to truly settle into her femininity
Yall let ppl disrespect yall partner ? Me personally you can’t even laugh at a joke too long abt mine before I get disrespectful. I’m old fashion when it comes to that, idc friend or family or stranger.
The highest form of love is consideration. When someone thinks about how things would make you feel. Pays attention to detail. Holds you in regard when making decisions that could affect you. In any bond, how much they care about you can be found in how much they consider you.
People want a woman with a big heart but what they don’t understand is that a woman with a big heart comes with big emotions. She’s passionate. She gets really sad and mad but she will love you like no other. You can’t have someone with a big heart and expect low emotions.
I think when you’re transitioning from being a people pleaser into a person with more boundaries it can feel so weird – it's hard to tell if you’re being mean or if you’re actually just respecting your own feelings, bcoz you’re so used to putting other people's feelings first.
that empathy you have will get you killed without boundaries. that empathy turns into pity real fast. you pity them. you’re making their healing & growth your responsibility. they’re not a child. you forget about yourself in the process. do you have to suffer for their healing?
