@tyromper This comes across as you dictating to women that it is their fault that their partners are not assisting with household obligations. Solid communication includes understanding the subtext and cultural/societal meanings that will be carried in your words.
@DelanaKing4@deborah_leroy@jacobsoboroff It is using her organs and blood supply to survive. It’s dependent on her to eat and drink. It’s depending on her immune system. How is it not part of her body at that point?
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett Motherhood is a bitch. Hardest job there is. Anything else is propaganda. And until you endure pregnancy don’t you DARE tell me what it’s like or what the consequences are. You don’t fucking know.
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett Some pregnancies are ended for convenience. Some for physical necessity. Some for psychological necessity. Some for economic necessity. Pregnancy isn’t a guaranteed life. Many pregnancies fail to lead to birth. Mandating a possible life over an existing one is morally wrong.
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett To you it’s not about equality. But it also isn’t a law on your body so your opinion isn’t worth shit. Women are equitable citizens to men. Entitled to the same 14th amendment equity under law. Abortion is a medical procedure to end a pregnancy.
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett You going to tell any of those women they don’t get to have the medical care they need to live because they are pregnant? What about the one who suffers psychosis induced by pregnancy? She have to lose her sanity for your moral feels?
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett My best friends liver failed during pregnancy. My cousin needed chemo during pregnancy. My mom’s 4th pregnancy was developing inside out and couldn’t live. Morally none of it is pretty. Reality isn’t pretty.
@Capta1n0@jaj8099@srakate @dovergirl95 @jduffyrice @docrocktex26 I don’t need to. I know enough of them in my own life to have determined that statistical justifications for these regulations are doing a disservice to the humanity of these individuals. When you want to discuss these women as humans with human rights we can talk.
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett Beyond that, pregnancy alters the female body in ways that cannot be reversed and that are life long. What equivalence can we pose that affects men so? Without such what we create is a legal inequality based upon immutable biological difference.
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett Yes. Why? Because a fetus even once viable cannot be removed from a woman’s body without major, life threatening surgery. No one should be compelled to that against their will.
@Capta1n0@jaj8099@srakate @dovergirl95 @jduffyrice @docrocktex26 Murder statistically speaking is rare. Dying of covid statistically is Remarkably we still give a shit about them and try and address them.
@FThomas22@morninggloria@Jenny_Trout Condoms fail. Morning after pill can fail. IUDs can fail and have health complications. Your argument hinges on these methods being perfectly functional and reality is, they are not.
@FThomas22@morninggloria@Jenny_Trout In case you weren’t aware, most pregnancy complications are not something you know about until pregnant. But they certainly may be a factor in whether you feel capable of continuing pregnancy. How do you propose to address that issue?
@FThomas22@ghostwriter4God@morninggloria@Jenny_Trout 99% of birth control methods are not 100% effective. If a woman employed a birth control method but still gets pregnancy was it her choice? Does her use of birth control not directly illustrate she did not wish to become pregnant?
@DanielShuemaker@TCB61454925 @Dharma53 @timburchett Actually it can. There are many life saving medications that will teriminate or damage a fetus. If a woman needs these medications shouldn’t she have the right to choose them? Isn’t it more responsible if she will do so to first abort the pregnancy?
@SirLiberal@rgay Human rights shouldn’t be determined by individual states. They should be enshrined as fundamental in the amendments of the constitution.
@agepnitz@AngryBlackLady Abortion costs are lower than pregnancy/delivery costs. And people who give children for adoption still incur those costs w/legal limitations on reimbursement. The financial argument is bullshit. Even my insurance covered delivery was more expensive than out of pocket abortion
