Benefit:

He went from being a defenseless caller, killed and revived twice, to a global conquerer with extraordinary means spreading Islām with knowledge and mercy from the Far West to the Far East and beyond.

Then he built a miraculous barrier to guard mankind against its greatest threat until the end of times when his wall will fall.

Abū al-Ṭufayl reports that Ibn al-Kawwāʾ asked ʿAlī bin Abī Ṭālib (رضي الله عنه) about Dhūl Qarnayn, and he responded:

«لم يكن نبيًا ولا ملَكًا، كَانَ رَجُلًا صَالِحًا، نَاصَحَ اللَّهَ فَنَصَحَهُ، ثُمَّ دَعَا قَوْمَهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ فَضُرِبَ عَلَى قَرْنِهِ الْأَيْسَرِ فَمَاتَ فَأَحْيَاهُ اللَّهُ، فَسُمِّيَ ذَا الْقَرْنَيْنِ».

“He was not a prophet and not an angel, but he was a worshipper who was true to Allah, and Allah was true to him. He called his people to Allah and was struck on the right side of his head and died, and Allah revived him; then he called his people to Allah and was struck on the left side of his head and died, and Allah revived him — and so he was called Dhū al-Qarnayn.”

Sixteen verses in Sūrat al-Kahf tell of a man who crossed the world, ruled at both ends of it, and built a wall that still stands.

The Qurʾān never gives his name, his century, or his country. Scholars have debated all three for fourteen hundred years.

Whoever does not have the nisaab for a year can be classified as miskeen, even if he is paying his bills & maintaining his basic needs. Thats what some scholars mention as the difference between miskeen & faqeer, both are poor, yet the miskeen has enough income to meet his basic needs, without any significant savings. Consider that the "masaakeen" of Soorah al-Kahf owned a boat & held jobs at sea.
