Manicaland’s story cannot be told without Mozambique. During the liberation struggle, the people of Mozambique opened their land, their villages and their hearts to Zimbabwean sons and daughters fighting for freedom. That solidarity was paid for in blood and sacrifice, and it remains the bedrock upon which today’s commercial relationship is built.
Today in Beira, Mozambique, I had the honour of leading a delegation of Zimbabwean companies and gracing the second ZimTrade Outward Mission.
In my remarks, I emphasized that this mission embodies His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s mantra of “Zimbabwe is open for business.” This approach prioritizes partnerships that drive trade, investment and development. Our engagement with Mozambique demonstrates this commitment. It focuses on expanding market access, attracting investment, and creating opportunities for our people as we advance towards Vision 2030.
I reminded delegates that our relationship with Mozambique is anchored in history and strengthened by trade. In April 2025 President Mnangagwa hosted President Daniel Chapo in Bulawayo, where President Chapo said, “Zimbabwe is Mozambique and Mozambique is Zimbabwe.” That goodwill was institutionalized in November 2025 with the inaugural Zimbabwe–Mozambique Bi-National Commission. This mission is the commercial follow-through to those decisions.
As port’s largest hinterland user, Zimbabwe’s imports from Mozambique grew from US$285.9 million in 2023 to US$457.7 million in 2025, a 60% increase. Our exports reached US$266.2 million in 2025, up 4.4%.
Manicaland sits at the very gateway of this relationship. The Mutare–Beira Corridor is a lifeline. It moves our timber, fertilisers, processed foods and engineering goods, and brings in fuel, cereals and oils that sustain our industries.
We are working with ZimTrade, our Embassy and Consulate, and Mozambican authorities to address barriers to cargo movement and clearance to reduce the cost of doing business.
To our Mozambican counterparts, Zimbabwe stands ready as a reliable partner in supply, investment and friendship. We are here to build partnerships that drive industrial growth, create jobs, and deliver shared prosperity.

I attended the burial of Major General (Rtd) Evaristo Dzihwema this morning at the National Heroes Acre, where His Excellency, President Dr. Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, presided over the solemn proceedings.
Major General (Rtd) Dzihwema, whose nom de guerre was Cde Kid MaWrong Wrong, passed away on 25 June in India, where he was receiving medical treatment. He was born on 2 January 1962 in Tandi Communal Area, Nyadongo Village, under Chief Tandi, Makoni District, Manicaland Province.
May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
@matigary@JacintaNgobese the government which is the next supposedly target has policies that support only 10% control of the South African economy to be in the hands of the black majority. the interviewer has valid concerns

We are in an era of Reclamation of identity.
When we won independence in 1980 we won identity that is older than colonial rule to be a Civilisation state. Zimbabwe is a civilisation state with Dzimbadzemabwe, Ubuntu, Mutapa as values that existed before colonisation. We are not built on foreign morals & ideologies that contribute to borrowing of implementations from the predecessor colonial regime. We have a right to write our own playbook. That's sovereignty!
@ZANUPF_Official We are entitled as Zimbabweans to Historical dividend. We are our own people. Based on our own set of rules rule our own ideologies. & Ubuntu.
#CAB3 Leadership must be based on performance legitimacy. This is based on work done and not on propaganda or intentional narratives & checkboards that are borrowed on foreign cultures. Credibility based on merit.
Evidence:
Energy: Hwange 7&8 added 600MW. Load shedding reduced.
Roads: Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme — 13,000km+ targeted. Major highways dualised.
Water & Food Security: 15 new dams completed/rehabilitated. Pfumvudza/Intwasa feeding millions.
If the car is not broken why fix it?
Health & Industry
-New hospitals, cancer centre at Parirenyatwa, and 200+ rural clinics upgraded.
- Industrial parks revived. Steel, lithium value chains, and SEZs creating jobs.
This is legitimacy earned through delivery, not just promises.
The Historical Dividend
As Zimbabweans is that we are entitled to benefit from the sacrifices of 1980.
Land reform, indigenisation, devolution funds to provinces, & SME support are all steps toward that dividend putting resources back in the hands of the people.
#CAB3 is a call to action to Protect our identity & amplify our sovereignty.
#CAB3Bhoo👍
These are your leaders who will lead from the front as we call you to action, guided by Section 59 of the Zimbabwe Constitution, to stop the CAB3 2030 Nonsense! CAB3 will not happen. The 2013 Constitution will rise to life again.
#NoTo2030Nonsense!
#NoToCAB3!

@SADC_News The immigration madness going on in South Africa can bring a massive negative impact on our region. It is a brooding security threat to ALL SADC member states. No dispute has been made to South Africans defending their sovereign livelihoods. True diplomacy must be excersised by the offended approaching their government with resolutions that can foster for peaceful transitions but hostility will bring threatening chaos.
Tensions involving some Nigerians in South Africa have reportedly escalated, with a group of demonstrators insisting they will not leave and declaring they are ready to defend themselves. Videos circulating online appear to show some individuals firing guns into the air as a display of defiance, claiming they are prepared to confront any attack.
While we bear the tears, anger & bitterness of failed politicians who in their time of influence could make changes to constitutionally create jobs, improve infrastructure, revive an almost extinct local currency so as to back our monetary policy & lastly protect 🇿🇼 national interests, but rather opted to drown in the illusion of their shallow minds that were filled with power related succession theories which birthed factionalism. We are tired of these noise makers & anti progressional units that choke the #VISION2030 mantra.
These are people who have made it a norm to create derailing narratives on international & cyber spaces.
Mari haina noise. The prosperity of Zimbabwe is embedded in peaceful movements,
sound constitutional contributions & unity.
The vision is clear, #VISION2030
MEASURES TO ENSURE THAT THOSE IN TRANSIT FROM SA DON’T END UP IN ZIM
These measures address fears that Zimbabwe will end up hosting many foreigners repatriated from South Africa.
ENTRY SCREENING & VETTING
· Rigorous screening and vetting are conducted at Beitbridge Border Post for all repatriates entering Zimbabwe.
· State-assisted repatriates travel with passenger manifests, which facilitate efficient screening.
· Non-state assisted repatriates undergo equally strict vetting procedures.
MULTI-AGENCY TASK FORCE
· A dedicated task force comprising Immigration, ZRP, and other law enforcement agencies has been established.
· Its mandate is to monitor, surveil, and manage the movement and presence of both documented and undocumented migrants.
TRANSIT MONITORING ALONG MAJOR ROUTES
· Enhanced transit monitoring applies to all repatriated migrants (state-assisted and self-assisted) travelling from South Africa.
· Roadblocks have been set up along key highways to monitor buses and vehicles moving from Beitbridge to exit points such as Nyamapanda, Chirundu, and Forbes.
SURVEILLANCE AT HARARE DROP-OFF POINTS
· Heightened monitoring and surveillance are conducted by task teams at major drop-off locations in Harare, including Roadport, Mbare Musika, Highglen, Chitungwiza, and other intelligence-identified undesignated points.
ACCOUNTABILITY AT PORTS OF EXIT
· At exit border posts, manifests are acquitted, cross-checked, and reconciled with Beitbridge data to ensure full accountability for all repatriates who entered as transit migrants.
MANAGEMENT OF STRANDED MIGRANTS
· Small clusters of non-state assisted migrants awaiting travel funds from family are closely monitored.
· Bus operators and embassies assist in facilitating their speedy repatriation; the majority are departing the country.
RANDOM SCREENING AT ZIMBABWEAN REPATRIATE DROP-OFFS
· Task team members conduct random checks at points where Zimbabwean repatriates are dropped off, to prevent infiltration by illegal immigrants not part of the official repatriation process.
ENFORCEMENT & HUMANITARIAN CONSIDERATIONS
· Any illegal immigrants intercepted who do not qualify as transit repatriates are processed in line with existing immigration statutes.
· This enforcement is carried out while remaining mindful of the humanitarian crisis unfolding in South Africa.
OPERATIONAL GUIDANCE
· A comprehensive monitoring and surveillance operational plan is in place to guide all task force activities.
ZANU PF is a well lubricated machine. A functional unit. An organised organisation. It is because of the satisfaction of the electorate that it was voted into power during the past 2023 general elections. The people spoke & the result evidently echoed.
Zimbabwe is a democratic nation. You can even have 5 more coalitions. The down side of it is without a clear, unfabricated foundation of ethics, it's just like what the late, former president described as the "Madhuku strategy." Once failed politicians appear, it's just noise makers trying to mobilise in oder to make a dollar out of 15cents.
