The second paper of my PhD!
We show that Sr diffusion in plagioclase is slower than previously thought and similar to that of Ba. Applying our new diffusivities reveals long, consistent timescales for both elements—recording magma reservoir assembly!

Kick-star of the winter school on Deep Crustal Processes! It will be 4 days of super interesting topics, people attending online from 42 countries @GeoUnipd @micROCKScopica @RockhoundRich@lucie_rocks@PierreLanari
There is a monster leak of Arctic air heading towards the whole of North America. Many places will experience -20C. These leaks are becoming more frequent as the jet stream weakens. This is a new climate. The stability of the Holocene is over.
🚨Des chercheurs et chercheuses viennent de publier les résultats d'un des plus gros projets de recherche jamais entrepris sur les capacités hédonistes et cognitives des animaux.🤯
C'est incroyable et je vous explique les grandes lignes.⬇️
I can not say this enough to those starting on their PhD journey. Find your people. Support each other. Knowledge sharing. Bouncing ideas off of one another. Emotional support. Your peers will be as important to your PhD success as your supervisors. #phdchat
@laramani14 & I have comment article in @Nature (https://t.co/Uvx5gVi8vi), highlighting the risk from large eruptions & what we could do about them. I was a bit worried that some info might get misconstrued, so wanted to provide a bit of context🧵@new_ub@CSER@OxUniEarthSci 1/n
