@DrCRMatthews Head of Steam - North Road. Decent selection of beers and pretty quiet during the day.
Or, Dun Cow - Old Elvet. Authentic British pub vibes. Not sure what’s it like for work.
Or, Queen Vic - Hallgarth. Proper pub, great landlord and lots quiet rooms for work!
An insightful and incredibly well delivered inaugural lecture from @MartinRoderick1 to celebrate his achievements on the road to professor and HOD 🚀🎓 A thoroughly enjoyable account of some complex sociological dynamics that encase themselves within professional football ⚽️
Emotive, informative and compelling documentary from @Tommo33s. Incredibly brave to talk about the issues that he and many others are facing. Concussion changes lives - we must make sport safer!
This is a disaster. Pray for Tua. Fire the medical staffs and coaches. I predicted this and I hate that I am right. Two concussions in 5 days can kill someone. This can end careers. How are we so stupid in 2022.
Amazing work by @DrKarenHind and team! Very important message highlighting the links between #concussion and #mentalhealth. It was a privilege to contribute! 🧠🏉

@DUSportExSci @lionsofficial Today’s research validates our methods for the main study with @FalconsRugby - full data set of training and home game impacts over two seasons. Huge amount of work from PhD student @ThomasGoodbourn. Will be sharing more info on the research this week 🙂
Disturbing to see the amount of brain injury involved in yesterday's Six Nations game.
Johnny Sexton, James Ryan, Johnny Williams, and Hallam Amos all forced off after blows to the head, while Robbie Henshaw returned to play after undergoing a HIA.
Brutal stuff. #WALvIRE
It’s vitally important that players get appropriate rest in between games. Multiple subconcussive head impacts load up over games and not providing players with adequate rest just exposes them to unnecessary risks.
Please help us call on @WorldRugby to commit to Equality, Fairness & Safety when @rugbyworldcup#RWC2023 pools & match schedules are drawn this Monday
No nations should have less rest than others

This is a fantastic overview of what we know about #CTE in rugby and how #concussion is just part of the problem facing athletes.
