I’ve come to terms with it, I’m sharing my 2024 season is over. A hip drop tackle 7 weeks ago leaves me awaiting surgery. I urge everyone to learn about these tackles, which are becoming more common. We need to work on prevention to avoid future injuries in all levels of the game
Lots of parents in touch asking if they should buy headgear for their kids to protect them from concussion at start of rugby season.
One particular company who i’ve clashed with in past charging £129 for their “product”.
Do not buy these. They do not protect against concussion.

@doctor_oxford@carolvorders It still breaks my heart that people died alone, in hospitals, in care homes, in nursing homes, and their families weren't allow to go see them, talk to them one last time, hold their hand.
People who allowed this should be criminally charged, not just booted out of public office

5 out of 7 researchers declared conflicts of interest in study funded and, crucially, communicated by @WorldRugby. Some of the presentation of findings (implying rugby could be less risky than jogging) would be laughable if not so dangerous. https://t.co/0aYpEC0P58

Australian Football League game today. This player is slow to get up, has an odd gaze, and is moving abnormally. He was not removed and evaluated for #concussion. I say wrong call. What do you think?
