Thus ends the extremely boring story of how I went bonkers.
I switched mic mode to standard and, huzzah, problem solved.
Maybe there is a way to get rid of mic mode. I don't need it.
Happy though to get an outcome πΈ
I got held up for 8 or 10 days with my #music work flow not working, bizarre problem with not being able to record any audio into #studioone. (Posting in case anyone comes looking for help) π
It was clearly seeking to isolate voice and do a variety of audio processing procedures to accomplish it. And it happened earlier in the signal chain than I was used to, before the audio arrived in the #DAW (digital audio workstation).

I am reading and reflecting on @paulg's essay "How to Do Great Work." It's helpful and light, triggering a good Saturday morning sense of imagination. Somehow I find it giving me a fresh perspective to think about what I do, what I've been doing, what is most worth working on.
