@DRIVVEN@piersmorgan@TheAtlantic Sure, the best way to address incompetence ist to help cover it up. Journalists should be ashamed if they feel the urge to exercise control over the Government (if its Republican)! ๐ซ
@OriginalRealAR @DRIVVEN@piersmorgan@TheAtlantic But he was assured by the highest officials that there was no classified information? Can't he trust his government ๐
In Bryansk, an overly zealous Z patriot decided to help the motherland by following the online advice of what she believed to be FSB agents instructing her to set fire to a random police car, in order to smoke signal their super secret FSB helicopter patrol.
She promptly proceeded to walk towards the nearest police station and patriotically set fire to the first police car she set her eyes on, burning it to a crisp.

Putin to reject Trumpโs peace offer. New Russian conditions demand concessions from the U.S., not just Ukraine:

@Valjean96012362@BaconIsSupreme@Coffee4Life365@Tendar Russia has been over and underestimated by the different groups since the beginning. I also think Syria is more dangerous for Iran than Russia. But losing Syria will add cracks to this whole superpower narrativ. And Inflation did not only hurt the West no complain <> no pain
@Valjean96012362@Coffee4Life365@Tendar True, a bit wishful thinking, but regimes whos power relies on fear and oppression don't get more stable when their citizens see their armies being routed by rebels abroad. Especially if these rebels then share a border over which weapons can flow..
Holy moly. MAGA is losing their mind over an uncovered video from 2016 where Donald Trump says people should use the bathroom they feel is inappropriate and speaks out against trans bathroom bills. RT this so MAGA implodes.
I am constantly flooded with notifications about the news that Germany has allegedly delivered only 6.5% of the promised armoured vehicles to #Ukraine. These reports are based on a BILD article, which is being purposefully misunderstood and misrepresented. Let's talk about it.
First of all, it is important to know that the article is not about all German-pledged armoured vehicles, but only about a specific vehicle marketed under the name FFG MRAP. If it were actually about all armoured vehicles, then Germany would currently have met just over 63% of its commitments.
If you exclude the promised MRAPs, you even come to 76.5% of commitments fulfilled to date. A good result when you consider that armoured vehicles have already been ordered that are not scheduled for delivery until 2026, 2027 and 2028 (planned long-term assistance by Germany)!
Let us now turn to the BILD article. As already mentioned, the article is about the delayed delivery of FFG MRAPs to Ukraine. At the time the article was published, the official list of German military assistance to Ukraine included only 26 delivered FFG MRAPs.
This equals exactly 6.5% of the pledges (400 MRAPs pledged), so the article was correct at the time of publication. However, at the time nearly everyone was talking, tweeting & posting about it, the German government had already made an update to its website and updated the delivered figures.
In the November update, the German government announced the delivery of a further 47 FFG MRAPs, bringing the total number of vehicles delivered to 73. This now corresponds to 18.25% of the pledges. This article was therefore no longer up to date at the time it attracted so much attention.
What is true is that the delivery is still delayed, that the German government will not keep their public promises regarding these vehicles and that this will most likely result in the loss of more Ukrainian territory and/or the death of Ukrainian soldiers, which is unacceptable. I agree.
Finally, I would also like to point out that most people (not all) who have written and complained about this have actually NOT addressed the reasons mentioned in the article.
Even if I believe that this is not the only reason, the German Ministry of Defence points out that the export was approved late by US authorities, which in the end delayed the delivery to Ukraine.
For those wondering, the base vehicle is a BATT UMG, for which approval from the US is needed.
That's it for now. I just had to say a few words about it because most of the reports were wrong or parts were left out and of course I can't let that slide, especially because I'm always dragged into the mess.
I hope this has brought some clarity for you guys!
@simonibekwe75@secretsqrl123 Whats next if you follow that logic? Europe doesn't need to die for baltics, not for Poland, France and UK not for Germany, UK not for France, the US not for UK, oh well..
@LAmike2023@SueSuezep@MedvedevRussiaE Even if that was true (which its not - it was a lawful impeachement by the parliament), it wouldn't justify illegally annexing territory and inciting civil war.
@THEENDGAMEWAR1@Pataramesh Very nuanced, yes. Maybe the US schould give Ukraine a couple of ICBM to test for them in response? You know, to remind Russia that they are not the only ones having nukes? Its pathetic that Russia needs to threaten with nukes to win a war it started.
