In June 2017, six inmates from the Polk County Jail in Georgia were out on a work detail cutting grass at a local cemetery. As the midday humidity soared, the supervising deputy sheriff suddenly collapsed due to extreme, overwhelming heat, losing consciousness and suffering a severe medical emergency.

In that split second, the men were left entirely unsupervised with a running county van, a cell phone, and a loaded service weapon well within their reach. Instead of seizing the opportunity to run, they sprang into action to keep the deputy alive. They quickly unbuttoned his shirt, removed his heavy bulletproof vest to help him breathe, and used his phone to call emergency services for medical help.

The inmates stayed by his side, administering aid until paramedics arrived, an act that doctors later confirmed directly saved the officer's life. To show their deep gratitude, the Polk County Sheriff's Office threw the six men a celebratory pizza party in the park, complete with homemade desserts baked by the deputy's own family. Even better, the sheriff formally recommended sentence reductions for all six nonviolent offenders, cutting up to 25% off their remaining time behind bars.

��🇸 Willard Davenport served his country honorably in the Army from 1969-1970.

During his time of service, he suffered an injury which caused him to lose half of his leg. But that did not stop him. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, along with the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Expert Rifle.

After coming home, Mr. Davenport enjoyed spending time fishing and riding his bike. He loved and cared for his family. He passed away on December 26, 2010.

I believe, more than ever, Trump needs to be chided, insulted, and laughed at. His ability to let things go, is nil. We see this more and more.
He's narcissistically battered, severely ill, and increasingly paranoid. He's consumed by rage, fear, malice, and impulsiveness inherent to his aberrant psychopathology. He's physically weakened by disease. His massive energy swings portend to increased medication to treat neurological diminishment. His recalibration periods are longer. He feels the sand exiting his hourglass.
He's ineffective on the world stage, crazed by bad economic indicators at home, panicky at the prospects of losing the midterms, and refuses to do anything that would ease economic pain on voters - like the sociopath he is.
His math is 6th grade level - one grade above his vocabulary - as he keeps repeating idiocies. His myth is now being sustained only by gaslighting and puffery. And when he is challenged, he comes off poorly. He is, like always, terrified of humiliation.
It's our collective obligation - Dems, Ind's, the media, business leaders, sane people - to challenge him more.
The election was not rigged - he lost. America is not more respected under him, it's more reviled.
His war in Iran was strategically asinine. The deal he has been forced to make is way worse than Obama's. Epstein is a massive cover-up, he's guilty of something.

Czesława Kwoka, a 14‑year‑old Polish girl, was murdered at the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp on March 12, 1943. She was killed by an injection of phenol directly into her heart.

Just before her death, she was photographed by fellow prisoner Wilhelm Brasse, who later testified that the SS guard struck her in the face before the photo was taken, the bruise on her lip is visible in the image.

In that haunting portrait, we see the terrified face of a child who did not speak German and had lost her mother only days earlier. Czesława was one of approximately 230,000 children and young people murdered at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The original black‑and‑white photograph, preserved at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oświęcim, was later colorized by Brazilian artist Marina Amaral, who was deeply moved by Czesława’s image and sought to share it with the world in color.
