⚡️ 🇱🇻 BREAKING: Armed men from Belarus crossed into Latvia

A group of masked men attempted to force around 20 illegal migrants across the border. The men were armed and threatened Latvian troops.

Latvia’s armed forces said the incident was particularly demonstrative and aggressive compared with many previous provocations.

Several hours later, the men managed to enter EU territory, damaged an electrical distribution box and stole surveillance cameras before returning to Belarus, Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava said.

@jacobincambodia The fact that family members are required to stay with a patient is one indicator of underdeveloped system. There is not much transparency about costs and often blown prices for medicine. Improvement yes, but way to go. Sonja Kill is a shining star!

@jacobincambodia The basic healthcare is unfortunately on a low level in Cambodia. Provincial hospitals doing their best, but with very little funding. Intercare is good but comes with a price, like Royal. There is little investment in training of doctors and nurses here in Cambodia. 1/2

Police photos add some pretty important context to this morning’s fatal Phnom Penh crash.

The Jeep driver appears to have tested positive for methamphetamine, while his breathalyzer registered 0.69 mg/L. That alcohol reading is roughly equivalent to a 0.14–0.15% BAC, nearly twice the legal driving limit in most of the U.S.

He allegedly hit and killed a bank security guard, then tried to flee before bystanders caught him.
