Rain is rolling in this morning, with most of the rain arriving mid morning. It's not going to warm up beyond our early morning temperatures, with most of our day spent in the 50s. See you on GMV!
The latest drought map is out and it does not look good. Lynchburg and all of Campbell county are now included in the extreme drought. Today will slow the spread, but we need inches of rain to dig us out of the drought.
The first round of rain is slowing down over the next few hours, with a recharge period on the way this afternoon. We may see a few storms heading into tonight, but mostly over the southside.
Orion’s crew and service module have separated. The crew module continues on its path towards Earth while the service module will harmlessly burn up in Earth’s atmosphere over the Pacific Ocean. The Artemis II return trajectory is designed to ensure any remaining debris does not pose a hazard to land, people, or shipping lanes.
Hi! I’m Rise!
About a week ago, I launched aboard the Artemis II mission with four of my besties. Since then, I have been serving a very important purpose aboard the Orion spacecraft… I float. (And I look cute.)
Today, I am taking over the Artemis social media accounts! -Rise
