I think this clip demonstrates some misunderstanding on both sides. Blockchains process transactions in a very reliable (and in some cases very fast) way. Think of Visa and what they do. Then you have the dApps.
Omg, permabear Jeremy Grantham and Joe Kernen went AT IT on CNBC today.
Must watch TV.
Even got Jeremy to say bullshit on live tv lol.
But good on Joe for calling him out.
@kenklippenstein Long story short, DNI is a pointless “leadership” position that has no real responsibility or authority. The “military industrial complex” is king.
@walterkirn I think Trump plans to work with democrats on proposals he likes but republicans politicians don’t. So in a way, he needs a landslide with democrats. Ultimately his overall popularity probably remains steady.
@RoKhanna@BernieSanders I agree with the spirit of your proposal, but I think it misses the mark. You’ll make families who make just over 150 less aspirational… the real differential is wealth, not income. Why can’t the government make low rate mortgages for people without wealth?
@elonmusk Humans are insatiable. Increase in money just leads to increases in demand. Which leads to more robots… which leads to more payments… which leads to more demand… doom loop?
@Vivek4real_ Bank takes $1000 and pays 4% to customer.
Bank then lends $900 and receives 6% from borrower.
this is the reason banks prefer CDs. Because then the customer can’t come try to get their 1000 back after they’ve lent it.
@BillAckman@realDonaldTrump@SecScottBessent@pulte I can see how this reduces risk for MBS, but punishing people for increasing equity in their home is not cool. Homes are often the easiest way for people to build wealth. Given the risk reduction, that 5.35 - 6 spread would likely widen as penalties grow in popularity.
I remember when Netflix actually had a monopoly and I paid 6 bucks to watch ad free what I now have to spend $11-15 each on:
Netflix
Prime
HBO
Paramount+
Apple TV
Peacock
Disney+
Hulu
Tell me, what was better for me the consumer? A cheaper monopoly or expensive competition that fails one by one?
