@hubermanlab I sometimes do 5 minutes up to the neck and then full immersion with breath hold for 30-60 seconds, if I feel like its safe. Would you recommend against this? This is only cold bath, no ice though.
@SBakerMD I see you have fallen for @KelloggsUS propaganda that "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" 😂. At least you are not eating their cereal.
@ExcuseMaam@Tom_Babington1 I am not tied to carnivore. I enjoy it, feel good on it, but experiment outside it as well. You started out by making an incorrect statement regarding vitamin A in carrots vs liver. I just corrected you, and you turned very butthurt. Just accept it and move on. Have a nice day.
@ExcuseMaam@Tom_Babington1 You are right, carrots has about 10 times the amount of calcium than beef liver does. Luckily I always have milk with my liver which has 4 times more calcium than your carrots 😉
@ExcuseMaam@Tom_Babington1 I am afraid you math is way off my friend.
100 cal beef liver = 4850µg Vit A
100 cal carrots = 2037µg Vit A
Or do you still think beta-carotene is equivalent to vitamin A?
@Tom_Babington1@ExcuseMaam Nothing wrong with carrots though. Just wanted to fix the common misconception that carrots contain more Vitamin A than liver, by any measure, grams or calories.
@Tom_Babington1@ExcuseMaam I see you are one of those thinking calories are the most important thing. Look at all the other goodness that is in liver, and which is absent in carrots? B2, B3, B6, B12, D, iron. Hell, liver even has more vitamin C than carrots. But you do you and worry about the calories.
@ExcuseMaam@Tom_Babington1 100g beef liver: Vitamin A equiv 6500µg
100g carrots: Vitamin A equiv 850µg
You are probably thinking betacarotene (BC) in carrots are equivalent to Vit A. It is not. The 8285µg BC in carrots are turned into 850µg real Vit A. Talk about shitty bioavailability.

@KetoCarnivore Just got back my blood work, and Mg seems to be good at 0.86 mmol/L. The only thing that stood out was high ferritin levels at 480 µg/L, which they say could indicate inflammation. Is high ferritin common on Carnivore? I have never heard about ferritin until now.
Went the entirety of December on the carnivore diet. I was carnivore for years before, but with the occasional treat like homemade ice cream with honey as sweetener and some spices and dairy. I went the @tednaiman (PE) way, but carnivore style with only meat and around 15-20% fat
@_eleanorina@KetoCarnivore Haven't done frequent extended fasting for a while. Maximum of 48 hour fasts once a month for the past year or so. I kicked off my December experiment with a fast on Dec 1, since then I haven't done any.
