Coming from music, that’s insane.
One stream on Spotify earns $0.003—and it takes way longer to make a great song than it does to create a product that solves a problem + a video explaining it.
Obviously they’re different business models: music pays out slowly over years (with live shows often being the main revenue driver), while products bring immediate results.
Still, it’s encouraging to see the contrast so clearly.
And that’s before you factor in how many businesses, agencies & service providers take their cut of music royalties before you ever see a cent.
