Look who came to visit - it's Ambo!
An orphan, he was found alone in Amboseli. He'd gotten stuck in a waterhole, then managed to climb out. In the hours that passed afterwards, he never found his mum but rangers found him. Just three months old at the time, we're the only family he's ever really known, so we expected he'd probably stay dependent for a long while.
As always, nature surprises us! Aged seven, he decided he was ready to roam wild, though he still comes back, often in the company of other ex-orphans. Not every day, but enough to know he still remembers where home is. February, check. May, check. June, check. Welcome back!
Our Keepers' Diaries are like our visitors log book. Take a read to get to know which ex-orphans still stop by: https://t.co/7BeLeWf9cI
Coming up to 4 weeks since she lost all power in her legs from poisoning.
Today little Espresso Martini did this.
I’m punching the air with happiness. It looks like we might get her back fully walking ❤️
Israel executed Ahmad in Gaza today.
A single bullet to the head.
He wasn’t a combatant.
He was a World Central Kitchen worker — carrying humanitarian aid.
A father of two.
His youngest child is just one month old.
Sienna is out In the fields of Wales.
I took her on many walks here in Thailand when she was recovering and never saw this level of joy.
She knows she is home ❤️
Scumbags #greenwashing They won’t tell you how many they already found dead in their nets. I will tell you: Hundreds of millions of sharks turtles rays whales sea lions etc. and other ‘by-catch’ die every year in their nets😡 #Fishing = #Murder = #Ecocide#GoVegan or #GoExtinct ✌️
They were only trying to escape 💔 The industry’s push to legalize the factory farming of rabbits must be stopped. Sign up to defend animals: https://t.co/idGvGTTr96
BREAKING:
Israel is blowing up civilian homes in Taybeh, South Lebanon.
A village that has stood for 7,000 years is now being reduced to rubble.
During a “ceasefire.”
No justification. No military targets.
Just destruction, terror, and war crimes unfolding in plain sight.
If everyone got to see farm animals up close and personal, they'd have a VERY difficult time ever eating meat again. Don't you agree? 🧡 [this is Whitney, a rescued calf I met at @BarnSanctuary]
Yesterday, you gave us the ability to say "yes."
Today, because of your kindness, this young donkey is safe.
He had been suffering for months, but when the call came, we didn't have to wonder if we could afford another rescue. We simply went.
This is the difference your support makes.
Thank you for standing beside TAWF and giving another innocent soul a second chance. ❤️🫏
Billions of hens in the egg industry endure unbearable suffering—afraid, alone, hidden in the shadows of cruelty.
One of the kindest choices we can make for hens is to choose more plant-based foods.

These dogs have survived the first step: they are no longer in sacks or being sold for slaughter. But they are still waiting on chains as rain and worsening conditions raise the stakes. Please donate to help rescue them now and support all our lifesaving work: https://t.co/zLVM8scRuD

Myself and the team have been working flat out on Espresso Martini for 3 weeks since she got poisoned and lost all power in her body. I have to say I started doubting.
I was wrong. Look at her at the end here. She’s UP again!!!
Our Keepers move between units as elephants grow — Nursery, Voi, Kaluku, and Umani. When Mzinga arrived at our Nairobi Nursery, Sammy was there to shepherd her through her earliest, most vulnerable days.
But rewind a few years, and he was in Voi, bonding with an elephant who still holds a special place in his heart: Murit.
"I looked after him and he became very attached to me. We were both new to Voi, so we created a bond and leaned on each other.Whenever he heard my voice, he started shouting to get my attention. Even when I would take a few steps away from him, he would be right there, following me.
It was hard to leave him when I returned to the Nursery after a few years, but by that time he was strong and didn’t need me. It makes me happy to know that he is big and independent and even starting to find his way in the wild."
WE MADE ANIMAL CRUELTY LAWS MUCH HARSHER - AND THEY'RE WORKING! 👩⚖️⚖️
Emma Hurst MP: "Our new laws have put 47 people in jail - yep, 47! Before AJP were in Parliament it was legal to possess and distribute animal s*xual abuse material - and possibly even produce it! We changed the law and it is working already.
This is important- because these people have a higher chance of harming other animals and children, so it is important that we have tough laws. If we hadn't brought in legislation- they would probably still be in the community harming others."
