@amlivemon the only thing that is peak stupidity is not checking to see if what you’re saying is true or not.. you’re wrong, if you took a second to actually check you’d see WSB covered in not buying silver posts
@Williamreborn2@BaldingsWorld Those people make me want to carve my eyes out, a person who is honest that they are materialistic is a thousand times more trustworthy than the fucker who tells you that he farts rainbows and his own shit is edible and agrees with everything you say out of vanity
@Williamreborn2@BaldingsWorld I always felt this seething distaste from some old classmates when they learned I went in to finance and didn’t stay in academia. A combination of regret, jealousy and maybe a twinge of distaste for the industry :(
@niubi Hearing people go on about how the US is using Taiwan as a pawn is driving me nuts, every side uses them as a pawn, it’s just this time that the masters in Beijing are being blindsided and there’s actually a net positive in Taiwan for it.
@KaiserKuo@niubi@bikhim It can be both and still a net positive for Taiwan. Agree with Bill, there’s no way this wasn’t discussed among the back channels and if it would have been a negative they would have asked them not to do it. Your reaction sounds like justification for hating more than anything.
@BaldingsWorld It’s pretty much impossible for them to be consistent of this. If banning Parler is fair game by Apple and Google then how the fuck is Weixin still allowed to be on the App Store?
@Williamreborn2@BaldingsWorld LMAO
yeah that has generally been my experience of meeting english teachers in asia, with a few goodies always the exception
and if I'm not wearing a suit everyone I meet assumes I'm one too
@Williamreborn2 lol it will be fun making quips like these
the 👶🍼 may look like it's normal, but if you try to drink it it's more like ☢️🍼, why do you think Chinese buy their baby milk from Australia and NZ?
