There are so many massive transport, military and other infrastructure projects in Tibet.
Yet it is taking them 2 days just to move a handful of rescuers equipped with shovels and little else.

No sign of drones, SAR equipment, high tech shelters or any reasonably good equipment where it can be of some use.
Going by their own official releases, they seem to be spending more energy on shooting slick videos, synchronised movement and praising CCP than actual effort on ground.
Comparatively, even Nepal is doing much better.

Truth be told, Europe was actually a bane on progress of science. Only by 1860s and 1870s did the tide change. Europe rigidly believed bible is historically impeccable and the date of 4004 BC for formation of universe is an inviolable fact.
