This 1915 sculpture by Jacob Epstein seems to have certainly been an influence on someone working on Phantom Menace’s designs.

I have to wonder if Dooku's design in The Clone Wars cartoons is based on this sculpture made by Stanislav Szukalski at all (Polish art-deco artist most active during the 1920s/30s with connections to nationalistic/fascistic pagan elements at the time). The resemblance is uncanny
