Prediction: Google skips Gemini 3.5 Pro entirely.
Here's why I think that.
The AI market has changed dramatically over the past few months. Every flagship model launching now is heavily focused on coding and software engineering.
GPT-5.6 Sol. Claude Opus 5. Fable 5. ...everyone is raising the bar for coding performance.
If Gemini 3.5 Pro was trained on foundations(3.1 Pro) that are already showing their age, I don't see how Google can realistically make it competitive with newer models through post-training alone.
Instead, I think Google does something smarter.
• Release Gemini 3.7 Flash to keep momentum going and shift attention away from the long wait. • Continue training the next-generation flagship. • Then launch Gemini 4 Pro as the model that actually competes with the current frontier.
That would explain why we've heard so much about 3.5 Pro yet still haven't seen it.

And their are leaks of Gemini 3.7 Flash soo..

Completely speculative, of course.
Am I overthinking this, or does this actually make sense?
