Iβm getting this notification in Antigravity
Looks like Gemini 3.6 and 3.7 Flash are getting deprecated soon, some are even saying it could happen today.
The Fast modes are also disappearing from the model selector for the Flash models.
Soβ¦ looks like weβre getting Gemini 4 Argon anytime now
GPT-6.1 Sol Ultrafast looks like it's coming soon.
Sol is already out. It nearly matches Astra at $2 in / $10 out per 1M tokens.
Ultrafast is the part that is still missing.
And the interesting part: Astra 6.1 is reportedly gone, scrapped over safety concerns. What's showing up instead is an "astra lite" string, spotted, not confirmed.
Speed bet: ultrafast on Astra is ~300 tok/s in Codex. I think Sol Ultrafast goes way past that. 750 tps would be wild π
Ran the same prompt on GPT Image 2.5 and Gemini Nano Banana Pro
The prompt: A massive Victorian library viewed from a high balcony. Exactly 24 people occupy the room: 6 reading at tables, 4 climbing ladders, 3 standing near the fireplace, 5 walking between bookshelves, 2 librarians behind the desk, 2 looking through a telescope, and 2 sitting on the staircase. Every person must have a unique pose, outfit, hairstyle, and position. Three spiral staircases connect different levels. Hundreds of bookshelves form symmetrical geometric patterns. Maintain accurate perspective and consistent architecture throughout the entire image.
And this is what I got
Headcount
β GPT: ~23 people
β Nano Banana Pro: ~20 people
β Neither got 24
Reading at tables (asked for 6)
β GPT: 5 β
β Pro: 5 β
Climbers on their own ladder (asked for 4)
β GPT: 2 β
β Pro: ~3 β
Fireplace (asked for 3)
β GPT: 3 β
β Pro: 1 β
Telescope (asked for 2)
β GPT: 2 β
β Pro: 2 β
Staircase sitters (asked for 2)
β GPT: 2 β (one is sitting a little too dangerously π)
β Pro: 1 β
Librarians (asked for 2)
β GPT: 2 β
β Pro: 2 β (plus an extra person nearby)
Ngl, the detail here is wild. I started hallucinating too while counting people, and I wouldn't blame the models if they did too π
But Nano Banana 2.5 is genuinely impressive. Can't wait for the release to see what people make with it.
Gemini Nano Banana 2.5 variant spotted on arena again as βresplendent flashβ π
And it can absolutely eat other image gen models on image quality and accuracy any day. Check the comments for a detailed comparison.
You heard it here first! π₯Έ
Do you use Antigravity or the Gemini app? After I posted about it, people shared and confirmed some more information.
Basically, Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 are being added to Antigravity for Google AI Pro users but you wonβt be able to use them if your Google Pro access is coming through Jioπ« ..
So there's a lot of confusion regarding the changes being made.. let me clear it up!!
So two new models in Antigravity "Opus 5.5 & Sonnet 5.5"
> Only Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers will get the access
> Those who have Pro plans through some kind of Promo or Trial won't be getting access to the upgraded Claude models
> Free, AI Plus and Enterprise plans don't get them either
> I don't have any confirmation about Student plans and if they will get access or not
> Opus 4.6 & Sonnet 4.6 stay on Free/Plus and Pro, but Ultra and Enterprise don't get them
> Opus 4.6, Sonnet 4.6 and GPT-OSS-120B will all be removed on November 2, 2026
> Gemini 3.8, 3.7, 3.6 Flash and 3.1 Pro stay available on every plan
And in the Gemini app, from October 9:
> Without a plan: Flash-Lite only
> AI Plus: Flash-Lite and Flash
> AI Pro and Ultra: Flash-Lite, Flash and Pro (Deep Think too)
> The above changes will most likely apply to Gemini 4 models as well.. (unconfirmed)
~ Seeing the changes going on, Gemini 4 Argon will most likely be limited to Pro and Ultra users only.. (unconfirmed)
~ But we don't know yet if "Gemini 4 Argon" is a Flash or Pro tier model.. there's some speculation that it could be a Flash model, but that's just a rumor.. if it is Flash, AI Plus users might get it too
wait, Google is quietly changing which Gemini models you get on each plan.
Starting Oct 9, free users lose access to Flash. They'll only have Flash-Liteπ«
Google AI Plus subscribers lose the Pro model but keep Flash-Lite and Flash. Google says Plus users will get an email with the date the change hits their account.
AI Pro and Ultra stay the same.
Here's how it breaks down:
Free: Flash-Lite
AI Plus: Flash-Lite + Flash
AI Pro: Flash-Lite + Flash + Pro
AI Ultra: Flash-Lite + Flash + Pro
Plus is basically the Flash tier nowπ

Mechanical Bee comparison between Gemini 4, Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Astra and Sonnet 5.5.
Sonnet 5.5 being the most creative one here is the part I definitely didnβt expect π₯
