To put this into perspective, it would currently take a single #T1 tile over 50M years to mine 67M $ESS, a #T2 tile over 150M years. Currently a single base #T1 tile takes around 277 days to mine a single $ESS, a single base #T2 around 833 days - and this is with daily logins to claim and transform! Keep in mind these figures are only relevant before the first halving event which will more or less double all duration above making it longer to mine each single $ESS.
We had a big backlog to get through from easier days in the past, but at some point I believe this reality will catch up.. and on top of that we're lingering on the dawn of #E2V1.
It's inspiring to see so much #land & $ESS locked up, even for the short term rewards & incoming #Earth2Hordes minigame. Seeing the long-term belief & support #Players have for not only for the platform, but also increasing the #Utility of their land is really driving.
But I believe in the not too distant future some #Players will have to start making more calculated choices on how they want to use their #land, $ESS & other byproducts as we continue to introduce features & mechanisms that expand the #utility for $ESS, #Land & more across the platform.

The article above has some more details so be sure to read it through. This does not change release plans for #Chapter1 but some of our community might like to see the progress on the combat system as some are interested in the #staking system, combat game play & #P2E.
When we have #Chapter1 live, which will include the entire life system, exploring, crafting, surviving plus the early teleportation system (specific details of that system to be released, and then #Earth2Hordes Q3.. the foundations really start to take shape. I am not sure people realise who much just these 3 systems will bring into #E2V1, and they are literally only the beginning!
We set the video to premiere just in case some in the community wanted to watch it together, otherwise we would have just instantly released. Hope you all enjoy the footage & progress on the combat system. I love the custom animations we made for the #SMG, just feels cool when slow or fast running with it!
For those who have seen the #E2V1 footage being shared by early pre-alpha testers on YouTube etc - just imagine having your characters, exploring the massive open world of #E2V1 then coming across #Hordes to battle .. along with all of the other mechanics that will be implemented at the time. 1⃣ Re-spawning from a Mentar or Campfire does not require any E-ther.
2⃣ When #F2P is released there will be a lobby system where #F2P#Players can search, filter & choose where to synthesise their character. Some people thought they would have to advertise on social media & invite them to their specific property.
Free to Play Players will be able to view a lobby system and execute global searches to identify the Quests, Tiers, Classes, Locations and more, that may appeal to them. Players will also be able to search by #EPL so #EPL owners can offer specific Quests on a property with the option to promote it externally as well should they wish to.
Just wanted to make sure those two points are clear as it caused a little confusion and the article did not properly reflect those details. The article has been updated now.
Also a quick note that I did receive the feedback on #T2 land getting tweaked perks based on land size. I must also note it was very professionally and constructively conveyed by Nizza and Jolly Roger on Discord. No meltdown or freak out or carrying on for hours, just some short respectful points that made good sense, were still noticed & well received.
I do agree with the points & will be reviewing a system that incorporates land size on both T1 and T2 for the character synth systems.
Land size is something we have already used in numerous other features so it is reasonable we follow a similar pattern with this feature, but just remember that T1 is the premium Tier and I believe where possible it should have premium benefits so I will still be taking this approach when adjustments are made.

This release will not only include the foundations for life, but include the beginning of other core systems that will become important long term inside #E2V1.
It also importantly increases potential rewards & utility for #Players holding their land & farming E-ther, especially higher tier & classes, an approach I recently reaffirmed I wanted to ensure we pursue while designing a number of the upcoming features.
This feature release represents one big part of our Q2 2025 #E2V1 version update, but not the only part. The second release scheduled for Q2 will be the initial Mentar teleportation system, another huge foundation being set inside #E2V1. There will be another incoming article covering details of that system including #EPLs, teleportation, perks for T1 & high class land & some other surprises!
A quick note, for #Players who have upgraded their land & secured one of the first 125K T1S tiles for each energy type, the T1S (T1 Special) class supersedes any sub-class you may receive. So if you upgrade and you see Class 2 for example, but your land has the T1S icon mark, it is treated as T1S before Class 2.
As promised, the article released today highlights the depth of the #E2V1 avatar release, as mentioned in my post earlier this week. It also highlights the multiple systems we are working on for this release in order to provide our #Players with some activities to do short term inside our evolving digital world! It should self explain why things are taking a little longer than first anticipated & how this is no longer a simple #avatar spawn & do nothing update.
I am very excited about these updates rolling out & am extremely keen to get this public! I also want to thank our testers who are on standby to begin playing with these updates as they become available this quarter!
On a closing note, I know the Free to Play model will receive some discussion & I am sure there will be varying opinions. I wanted to approach it in a unique way that fits in with our #EcoSim & the ideology I've had for #Earth2 from day 1. Not other does this design take an alternative approach to the promise of loot discovered on a #property being split with the owner but also allows the land owner to request exactly what they are looking for in return for providing life to a free to play #Player.
I think it's a pretty cool concept, say I might want some health potions for my upcoming #Hordes game (or something else) this weekend, so I'm happy to provide a free to play #Player with some E-ther to get their own character going in return for some potions. Or maybe I want them to capture something for me, or find a specific material. There will be an insane amount of different quests landowners can set over time which I find really exciting.
In fact this design approach I've taken is possibly better than the property based loot split as it is not limited to land owned by the #Player providing the E-ther for the quest, which came from the land they own.
We have already implemented a number of the systems set for release this quarter and have been testing them behind closed doors inside #E2V1, but there are some more refinements and additions to make.
There has been a lot of thought & design put into the systems revealed in the article today, both for the short and long term vision of the platform, so I hope everyone enjoys the update & details on what's coming up!

This update is no longer a simple avatar release but a significant update to the entire foundation of the #E2V1 world. When I first talked about dropping avatars I was eager to keep things moving and referred to a very simple system to test skins and movement, then to subsequently implement the full version after that.
While this approach would have brought new content out quickly, it could have turned into weeks of extra development time with little upside for the wider community, apart from testing the movement and appearance of the avatars, there would have been little else to do until another subsequent update.
Therefore I made the decision to focus solely on implementing the core part of the full system we plan to use long term on the platform.
I apologise that this release will take a little longer than originally anticipated, having moved away from the initial lower spec'd plan, but I'd like to get this right & ready for a wider audience to start using and enjoying. As much as I'd love to push out updates faster, I will be taking this approach to #E2V1 development in the future as well.
The plan will still be to release to our testing group first after our internal QA, test and then stabilise. If all looks good and we're happy with how everything is performing, we will push forward with a public release.
There will inevitably be ongoing adjustments, additions and tweaks to these type of systems over time.
It may seem like a long time, but #E2V1 was only released to our testing group 7 weeks ago! How crazy is that? I know for me it feels like many months already.
Nonetheless, during this short period of time we have not only released a couple of updated versions, and an updated version to the Earth 2 Launcher, but the team has also been working incredibly hard on the #E2V1 and #BE mechanics for the Chapter 1 systems - and there is a lot involved in this upcoming release.
We will be dropping an article later this week, which I believe will help our community understand the extensive list of features planned for this release and in turn explain why it is taking a little longer. I'd rather not spoil all of the details, but the article contains a lot of information about the various systems we're developing including rules of life, avatar synthesisation, death, saving, skins, day/night cycles, free to play model, avatar vitals, how land ownership fits in with all of this and much more. It is important to keep in mind that each of these systems needed to be designed and implemented, which takes time.
The article will also begin to reveal some of the design plans I have been working on to increase utility for T1 land, which will also include various T1 classes. I also intend to follow through and expand utility on T1 land into other upcoming mechanics on the platform, some of which will be revealed in a separate article in the near future and are also part of the Chapter 1 release.
Ideally, all going well, we will be testing early multiplayer at some stage this quarter and as mentioned earlier this year #Hordes in Q3, #EggHunt in Q4 & maybe some early buildings on properties. In addition to these goals, we have a couple of wild card features floating around in between as well.
I know I reiterate it from time to time, but the long term goal for #Earth2 has not changed. We are building a #geolocational #metaverse - a platform! We still want #Players building cities, providing more individualised experiences, advertising, trading, shopping, e-commerce, socialising and so forth. And I still have plans to link #E2V1 into #AR and support #VR, but we cannot do all of this at once. I am also looking at ways we can expand the team and setup a studio, probably in East Asia, to speed up development.
The current features we're focusing on plan to expand utility for land on a wide scale & introduce various experiences inside #E2V1, providing potential benefits for land owners & #Players alike on a broader level, while at the same time allowing our team to introduce mechanics that will be used throughout the future of the platform, test limitations and work our way around challenges as they arise.

3⃣ just because we are showcasing this now does not mean it's what the team is actively working on, nor does it mean it's the only thing the team has been working on. This footage was recorded months ago.
