Luego llegó a París, ganó tres eliminatorias y siguió ganando. Zheng Qinwen Elise Mertens. María Sakkari. Diana Shnaider. Nueve partidos seguidos.
I’d be curious to know if any other team in the NFL has an entire starting offensive line made up of homegrown players the way the Eagles do right now.
And when you factor in how long these players have been with the organization, it’s even more impressive heading into 2026:
•Jordan Mailata — Year 9
•Landon Dickerson — Year 6
•Cam Jurgens — Year 5
•Tyler Steen — Year 4
•Lane Johnson — Year 14
That’s a combined 38 years of experience with the Eagles. It’s hard to imagine another team matching that level of continuity and development along the offensive line.
Here’s hoping they bounce back with a dominant season in 2026.

It’s fascinating to see the difference between the team building philosophy of the Eagles and the Rams over the last decade.
Here are some notable stats since 2016:
- The Eagles have made three Super Bowls and won two. The Rams have made two Super Bowls and won one.
- The Eagles have won 101 games in the regular season and 10 games in the playoffs. The Rams have won 96 games in the regular season and 10 games in the playoffs.
- The Eagles have made 11 picks in the first round of the NFL Draft. The Rams have made three picks in the first round of the NFL Draft.

My favorite AJ Brown game as a Bird:
DOMINATED the Steelers with 6 catches, 156 yards receiving & 3 touchdowns all in the 1st half. I’ll never forget the double point after his 3rd. All-time moment.
Thanks for the memories, AJ 🦅
The #Patriots get A.J. Brown along with his remaining contract of four years, $113 million.
The #Eagles take on a cap hit of just over $43 million, with roughly $27 million now hitting next year’s salary cap as a post-June 1 trade.
The Eagles have traded AJ Brown to the New England Patriots, per multiple reports
Some thoughts on the move:
** The first and most important point on any AJ trade is this — the Eagles roster on offense is currently much worse without him. Brown was a bonafide, legit No. 1 receiver. They now don’t have a proven No. 1 WR. Thats a major concern on the offense.
** A 2028 1st round pick to me feels like a fine, but not great return. Obviously we’ll see where the pick lands. But not getting a 1st in 2027 + more seems more like the market wasn’t there and had to get creative to get a 1st.
** If the 2028 1st round pick isn’t traded for a player then it is likely this is an asset that isn’t helping the team in a meaningful way until 2030
** My guess on what we will hear is the Eagles reasoning for doing this: AJ didn’t want to be here, they got a good pick back, it takes money off an expensive offense and it saves them cash — cash that they are hoping they will be able to do lots of things with to help the team.
** The idea that AJ was an issue in the building is just wrong imo. I saw enough teammates from every position group stop at AJ’s locker to talk to him over the years to know how popular he was. He was voted a captain. He was a great teammate, not a bad one or an issue in the building in any major way.
** That being said I think there is jussstttt enough logic in the Eagles deciding to trade AJ. He will be 29 next season. He has one year of guaranteed money on his deal. This was maybe the last chance for the Eagles to cash in on AJ in a substantial way that lands them a legit asset. It was trade him now or never get a good return.
** I do not believe AJ’s issues with the offense ever had anything to do with Nick Sirianni or the coaches. He wanted the passing game to be better but I don’t believe he felt they were the issue.

Once 4p ET hits, AJ Brown could get traded at any moment.
Here's how I will remember his legacy in Philadelphia.
- AJ Brown goes down as one of the best players in franchise history
- At his peak in Philadelphia, he was a top 3-5 WR in the NFL
- He's the only WR in franchise history to go over 1,000 yards four straight seasons
- AJ was a 3-time All-Pro in four years
- He was one of the most valuable players during a run that saw the Eagles win double digit games four years in a row, win three NFC East titles, make it to two Super Bowls and won a Lombardi Trophy
- A complete, all-around WR, who at times was unstoppable
- You can make the argument he's the best WR in franchise history
