Some Things Are Between You and God — Not the Crowd.
Imagine if Hosea lived in our generation.
The headlines would have read: “Prophet Marries Prostitute – Claims God Told Him To!”
The comment sections would be on fire. Memes would trend. Pastors would be invited to speak on “moral decline among prophets.” And yet, Hosea was obeying God.
Now imagine John the Baptist in 2025.
A man living in the wilderness, wearing camel skin, and feeding on wild honey and locusts. Society would label him mentally unstable.
But Jesus said, “Among those born of women, there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist.”
Think of Samson – the man whose strength was tied to his hair.
If he walked into church today with long, dreaded hair and said, “The Spirit of God is upon me, but I’m not supposed to cut my hair,”
People would look at him sideways.
Yet he was a Nazarite – consecrated and bound by covenant.
Child of God, not everyone will understand the divine instructions on your life.
There are paths that God asks you to walk that don’t make sense to human logic.
You may be mocked, misunderstood, even abandoned.
But if it’s God who gave you the instruction, your obedience will bear fruit – eventually.
If God told you not to apply for that job, don’t.
If He told you not to marry that person, don’t.
If He told you to stay silent when others are shouting, stay silent.
You don’t need everyone’s validation when you have God’s voice.
We are not all walking the same journey. Some are walking by calling, others by assignment, and others by consecration.
Your life may not fit into the typical mold — that’s okay. You were never called to be typical anyway.
When Noah built the ark, people laughed.
When Abraham left his homeland not knowing where he was going, people were confused.
When Mary said she was pregnant by the Holy Spirit, even Joseph didn’t believe her at first.
But they all obeyed – and history vindicated their obedience.
Listen:
Not every instruction will make sense.
Not every calling will come with applause.
Sometimes the loudest confirmation will be the peace in your spirit and the faithfulness of God over time.
Let people talk.
Let them question.
Let them laugh.
Just make sure you’re walking with God.

I prophesy to you, the same way Moses spoke over Reuben, I stand by the prophetic and prophesy: “Let Reuben live”. Whoever cursed you, I bless you nullifying the curses! Whoever said Nigeria will not favor you, I change that prophecy. Whoever said your children will only eat from strangers, I reverse that prophecy, in Jesus name!
