Denmark’s discussing a bill to move asylum process to Africa. Asylum seekers still have to go to Denmark but will then be flown to a host country in Africa after submitting application, and have to live in the host country. A demonstration of modern white supremacy. #mppgapower

Nothing frustrates me more than senior faculty telling PhD students to just follow their passion and things will be alright. As an already-not-so-recent PhD who was on the market for two years before securing a permanent position, I can say that this is not how it works anymore.

@kspicoli Yeah, I thought that at the least in the global north most governments tend to be open to participatory processes while in other contexts you have to work quite hard to even gain an audience with the gov.

I attended a seminar on Development Entrepreneurship hosted by @Asia_Foundation which engages leaders to use entrepreneurial principles to influence change and introduce policy reforms. That is one way to engage those with more power to use it in a positive way #mppgapower
