@AvantiWestCoast Ah @AvantiWestCoast, there is no debate. EVERY biscuit in the biscuit tin is the best biscuit to dunk. And the last biscuit is the best to dunk if you don’t have any left.
The only bad biscuit to dunk is the missing biscuit…
@northernassist Not a service (ie train); it’s what it says in the post:
It is the accessible toilet AT MANCHESTER OXFORD ROAD station. A station that Northern manage.
Surely it was clear from my original tweet? It literally said that location, word for word…
Hello @northernassist! Just loving the feedback QR code in the accessible toilet at Manchester Oxford Road 🤣🤣
And no, this isn’t photoshopped or edited.
@northernassist It’s 1Y94, the 08:48 Barrow -> Manchester on 20/5/2025. This incident occurred at Lancaster. The chair user was, fortunately, able to hobble to a seat (parking in that position is not safe to travel in chair).
Your guard seems to need a reminder on safe travel for wheelchairs.
Good morning @northernassist,
Your guard seems to think that this is an acceptable way to cram luggage around a wheelchair.
Luggage was on first, and guard was extremely reluctant to get people to move for the chair (it’s not mine; my power chair is out of shot to the right).
@northernassist@Guard_Amos That is Birkrigg Common and, at the right on the shoreline, the Bay Horse pub, looking over the Ulverston estuary from the Furness Line.
I mean, when it’s @GuardAmos, it’s fairly likely it’s the NW, but this is my home turf.
@AvantiWestCoast@NetworkRailBHM I spoke to the Train Manager when I first saw them (or indeed any staff after leaving New Street); shortly after we left Preston. By which time we were approaching Lancaster.
Fortunately my bladder held. Not all people would be so lucky.
Hello @AvantiWestCoast, hope you are well?
I’m on the Birmingham New Street (16:05) to Lancaster (18:06).
When @NetworkRailBHM put me on the train, they didn’t know accessible toilet in carriage D was out of service. As a wheelchair user, this is a bit awkward.
Yesterday I travelled with @CrossCountryUK from Aberdeen to Penzance. Filthy windows aside (restricting photography), it’s a grand journey with great crew looking after first class.
Boarding at Aberdeen took 20 mins while train and station staff debated who did wheelchair ramp..
Aboard the @CrossCountryUK train from
Aberdeen to Penzance. Beautiful weather; amazing scenery. Unfortunately I won’t really be able to share the views as the windows on 221124 are absolutely filthy!
Hello @LNER
I’m a wheelchair user on your 10:28 Edinburgh -> Aberdeen service.
The onboard announcer says “scan QR code to order refreshments to your seat”.
But your online system says “We are not taking orders right now”…
So is this a long, parched journey to Aberdeen?
