So today I discovered that I want to be an investor not a business owner. I want to be hands off and let my money make more money. I just need to make more money to have it to invest how I’d like. 💡
I want to be rich. I'll admit it. But not so I can buy a Lamborghini. I'd prefer a Porsche. Kidding. I want to be rich so I can control my time. So I can sit at a cafe and order my wife breakfast without looking at the prices. So my parents don't have to worry about money. So I can travel freely and show my kids the world. So I can take my friends out to dinner and say, "Don't worry, it's on me." So my kids can get the very best education. That's my idea of a rich life. Money isn't the goal; it's a tool to live a deeper, more fulfilling, adventurous life.
You don't need a six figure salary to start building wealth. You need a six figure mindset with a $40,000 salary. The money will follow the thinking eventually. It always does. But the thinking has to come first and most people have that completely backwards.
Correct. Unfortunately Robinhood will not allow investors the ability to own a single share. Robinhood is the only US broker that does not allow DRS transfers which means that all securities held through HOOD are entitlements (not shares). @vladtenev
How to make mega money:
Buy things that other people misjudge as risky.
Ex:
Quitting your job.
Moving across the country.
Going all in.
The reality is that the alternative is riskier - it just takes longer to realize it.
Ambitious people are my type. I can’t even hide it, once you start talking about doing impossible work, the kind of talk that inspires greatness, you have my allegiance till the wheels fall off.
We may fail (woefully) but we will never be guilty of not trying.
The path to freedom, the path to millions is set
