बिहार किशनगंज के ठाकुरगंज के भोगडावर बाखोटोली गॉंव के रहने वाले मौलाना तौसीफ़ की ट्रेन न. 04314 में बरेली कैंट के पास धार्मिक पहचान के आधार पर पिटाई करके चलती ट्रेन से फेंकने का परिजनों द्वारा आरोप हैरतनाक है, बाद में रेलवे ट्रैक के पास लाश मिली, मृतक की पत्नी का आरोप है कि घटना के समय उनके पति ने उन्हें वीडियो कॉल करके अपने साथ मारपीट होने की घटना बताई थी और उसी समय फोन कटने के बाद से ट्रैक के पास से उनके पति की लाश बरामद हुई।
@bareillypolice का ये स्पष्टीकरण की खिड़की के पास बैठने से झपकी आने पर गिर जाने से मृत्यु हुई है ये दर्शाता है इस घटना की व्यापक जॉंच की आवश्यकता है।
क्योंकि मृतक की पत्नी के पास पति से बातचीत की रिकॉर्डिंग मौजूद है जिसमें वो झगड़े की बात अपनी पत्नी को बता रहे हैं।
रेल मंत्री @AshwiniVaishnaw जी से अनुरोध है कि इस मामले की उच्चस्तरीय जॉंच करवायें, ताकि स्थानीय पुलिस के साथ साथ रेलवे के उच्च अधिकारी इस मामले का सच सामने लायें और अपराधी चिंहित हो सकें।

Her name was Shehla Masood.

She was 38 years old, lived in Bhopal, and ran an event management company.

Then in 2009, she discovered the RTI Act.

She filed over 200 RTI applications in two years. She exposed illegal construction happening in plain sight. She fought to save tigers being poached by the very forest officers meant to protect them. She took on Rio Tinto, a global mining giant sitting on 27.4 million carats of diamonds inside a protected forest in Chhattarpur. Two district collectors were transferred to make that mining happen. She filed RTIs, went to parliament, and stopped it.

A month before she died, she gave an interview. She said she feared for her life but would not stop, because the nexus between politicians and babus was slowly poisoning this country.

On August 16, 2011, she sat in her car outside her home, about to leave for an Anna Hazare rally.

A hired gunman shot her once through the throat.

The CBI said the motive was a love triangle. Four people were convicted and sentenced to life. The mining angle was never investigated.

Her father told investigators that high profile people had conspired to kill his daughter.

Nobody listened.

She was posthumously given the SR Jindal Crusade Against Corruption Award, an honour shared with APJ Abdul Kalam.

India rewarded her with a bullet, then gave her an award, then forgot her name.

A woman is allegedly seen losing her cool on Maharashtra cabinet minister Girish Mahajan, over the traffic snarl caused by the BJP morcha in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. This was during a protest march on the issue of the Women's Reservation Bill. She was heard asking the minister to protest on a ground, and not hold up the traffic by marching on the streets. I travelled to Madhubani, Bihar to report on the brutal killing of Roshan Khatoon and what I found is deeply disturbing.

On 25 February 2026, during the month of Ramadan, Roshan Khatoon was tied to a pole and mercilessly beaten by more than 20 people, including men and women, while she was fasting, after she went to the village head’s house to resolve a dispute.

Her family says that when she asked for water, she was instead forced to drink a mixture of alcohol and urine, an act they describe as deliberate humiliation because she was a Muslim woman.

She succumbed to her injuries on 1 March.

What followed raises even more serious questions.

Instead of immediately ensuring medical care and justice, police allegedly took Roshan Khatoon and her husband to the Police station while she was critically injured and demanded ₹50,000 for their release. The family says they were eventually released after 5–6 hours after paying ₹4,000.

Nineteen people have been named in the FIR. Yet, nearly a month later, only one arrest has been made.

Her family alleges that the accused are being shielded due to political backing from BJP and JDU leaders. Meanwhile, even after weeks, the postmortem report has still not been released.

A woman was lynched, humiliated in the most inhuman way, and a month later, justice remains nowhere in sight.
