Adam, you still served in Unit 8200 during the explosive pager attack in Lebanon.
There's no way to know you weren't involved, since your activities are classified.
@realAdamLevi Thank you Adam for promoting our event, although we couldn't accept you this time. You are still welcome to join our next hackathon in Tel Aviv, in Azrieli Center. See you soon
I’ll get shit for this, and great-power competition dynamics makes it hard. But a detente with China, where we compete economically, protect truly strategic sectors, and avoid an unnecessary arms race, would be a clear net positive.
Like this is structurally hard. And the path is narrow. But denying that this *would* be good is a little foolish.
SpaceX and Tesla are each building 100GW/year of solar production capacity as fast as possible, but natural gas will still be needed to supplement and bootstrap solar for several years.
The limiting factor for nat gas turbine production is casting the blades & vanes. By doing in-house casting at SpaceX, we can accelerate nat gas turbines coming online by up to 18 months, which is a profound game-changer.
A total hit piece on @Israel and NYC’s Israeli restaurant scene. It’s shocking how far @NYMag has fallen.
@madelesq’s article is so one-sided that it barely resembles journalism. Israeli restaurants and their owners are portrayed through the narrowest possible lens, while “genocide” is repeated again and again without meaningful context.
Meanwhile, some important facts get little or no attention: Gaza’s population has grown substantially since 2005; recent UN data show significant improvements in food security and child nutrition; and Israel, working with international partners, helped facilitate vaccination campaigns that reached roughly 603,000 Gazan children with polio vaccine.
And let’s talk about the food: NYC’s Israeli restaurant scene is extraordinary and arguably second only to @TelAviv itself.
@NYMag should be celebrating the diversity, creativity and success of this scene, not turning it into a political hit job.
Words matter. Journalism matters. And when Jewish and Israeli people are repeatedly portrayed through such a one-sided lens, it has real-world consequences in a city already struggling with rising antisemitism.
Celebrate all Middle Eastern restaurants, celebrate our City’s unique diversity, but don’t make it an unsafe place for Jews and Israelis. Do better, @NYMag.
The suspect, Raul Morales, who allegedly committed these reprehensible attacks against an Asian man and a Jewish man, is now facing hate crime and attempted murder charges.
I am thankful that he is being held accountable and hope he will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This kind of despicable violence is not who we are as a city. Every New Yorker deserves to be safe, regardless of their religion or race.
Our administration will always stand against bigotry and do everything in our power to root out antisemitism, racism, and hateful acts of all kinds.
Tomorrow New Yorkers in my beloved hometown have a chance to write the first chapter of the America that will come after Trump. Voting for Zohram Mamdani is an act of hope, defiance, and community all at once.
This afternoon, I sat with Palestinian New Yorkers in Astoria and listened to what they and their families have endured as the genocide in Gaza continues, funded by our government.
In the face of immeasurable grief, they have showed unbreakable resilience.
Eric Adams (@ericadamsfornyc) did the right thing for the city. It’s now time for others to do the same.
We must defeat @ZohranKMamdani in November and stop the socialist movement that is destroying New York.
I’m proud to support @CurtisSliwa and encourage everyone to do so.
I am the only candidate who can defeat Mamdani. Our team, our resources, and our supporters are unmatched. Most importantly, we have the best solutions to help working people afford to stay in New York City and feel safe. https://t.co/F2tFffOfLB
@Chad_Hurley if $GOOG AI dominance is a function of vertical integration (TPU + GCP + 1p data & distro) what do you think it means for the M&A strategy for all the other majors? Does everyone need to own full-stack and buy a bunch of stuff?
Requiring a business arrangement to be fully documented is a good way for it to not have right-tail success.
However, given middle of bell curve outcomes, you better make sure every last iota is documented.
The heart yearns to trust, the brain knows otherwise.
We talked with @alexjacobson (Co-Founder & Managing Partner) about the evolving private markets.
"SpaceX gives employees equity and runs tenders regularly so that equity becomes liquidity. Although the liquidity price is lower than public market value, employees know their equity will grow because SpaceX keeps expanding.
"The strategy is to give employees certainty that the equity they've been issued will be worth a lot more in the future. That is harder to do in the public markets because everything is perfectly priced. In private markets, if you run your process properly, you can have this very deterministic outcome for your employees."
