A rescue group wants to save TEDDY, but they need one local foster in the Houston area. All expenses are covered. He just needs a safe place to go.

TEDDY is a sweet 2 year old, 57 lb male pittie mix. He is dog and people friendly, walks nicely on leash, is non-reactive to barking dogs, and is heartworm negative. He is also missing several toes on one front foot and has already been through too much.

This is Buster and Bella. They are brother and sister.

I posted about Buster yesterday and as of today he is still available for adoption, and so is his sister Bella.

A little about Buster and Bella.

Buster has a Reduced Fee
He is a 4 year old Labrador mix brought to the shelter as a stray with his sister Bella. Buster is shy, but watches everyone carefully to determine if anyone is trustworthy. Buster will need a long time to get to know his family and trust them, but we can tell he wants to be part of a family. He needs the opportunity to become the dog he was meant to be. Buster is not aggressive and gets along with other dogs. If you want to truly save a dog, adopt Buster and save him from a lifetime of shelter life. A fenced yard is required to Buster safe.

Buster has a reduced adoption fee and includes first shots, worming, microchip, and sterilization. They have a dog park to check compatibility with possible sibling dogs.

🐈💔Yesterday evening, we were contacted by a local Veterinary Practice after a tiny kitten was brought in by a member of the public. At just an estimated 5–6 weeks old, this poor little soul is desperately unwell💔🐈

🏥🩺The Vet team had already begun emergency treatment but due to the severity of his condition, we quickly transferred him to our own vet’s @FentonVets Haverfordwest, where the team are now working tirelessly to give him every possible chance 🩺🏥

Sadly, as this appears likely to be a case of abandonment, we have no history for him & no way of knowing exactly how he has ended up in such a heartbreaking state

One possibility is that he has aspirated, meaning fluid has entered his lungs. This can sometimes occur when a very young kitten is bottle or syringe fed & accidentally inhales the milk rather than swallowing it. Right now, all we can do is wait, hope & trust in the incredible expertise of the Vet team caring for him🙏

💔This week we welcomed 7 dogs from one of the Local Authority Dog Pounds we work alongside. Every one of them was an unclaimed stray, most without a microchip & many arriving with significant health concerns💔

Working with Local Authorities to prevent the unnecessary euthanasia of healthy, treatable dogs is a constant & often challenging task for many rescues like ourselves

These dogs have not failed anyone, they have simply been failed by the humans who should have cared for them

🏥🩺Now their rescue journey begins. Before they can find their forever homes, each dog will undergo a full assessment, be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped where needed & receive any veterinary treatment required

Among this group alone we are already treating severe skin infections, painful ear infections, dental disease & a range of other health issues🩺🏥

❌️🏡❌️At this stage, we will not be accepting or responding to any home offers or adoption enquiries for these dogs. They are currently undergoing assessment & receiving the veterinary care they need. Once this process has been completed, any dogs that are suitable & available for rehoming will be advertised through our usual channels❌️🏡❌️

This week has been all about helping Biscoff become a little more accepting of other cats.

Historically, Biscoff has not enjoyed sharing her space or interacting with feline friends, but we’ve been taking things slowly and letting her progress at her own pace.

It’s taken quite a while to get to this stage, but we are delighted to say that it finally looks like she is starting to accept Monty & Rommel. There is still work to do, but seeing them peacefully sharing space together is a huge step forward and we are incredibly proud of her. 💛

Meanwhile, thanks to all of you, we have managed to close the gap on @MyGivingCircle over the last week and edge a little closer to that all-important top spot on the leaderboard!

Tiny Kitten Thrown From Car Now Needs a Home

TYLER, Texas — A tiny kitten is safe after witnesses say he was tossed from a car in front of two small children.
The children were left heartbroken and in tears.

Thankfully, a compassionate family quickly scooped him up and brought him to SPCA of East Texas for help.
