so back in april i got another guinea to keep honey company. to make a long story short: that guinea ended up being a boy and now honey is pregnant with 5 children.
here are some maternity shoot pics:
I was part of a great research study in residency that did BP checks at pedi visits because while only ~60% of women go to their 6 wk postpartum visit, almost all go to the baby’s. We identified many women with postpartum HTN and pre-eclampsia so the answer should be yes!
Don’t lie to docs to get yearly CT scans & unnecessary radiation that also increase cancer risk. DO go to your yearly checkup, DO utilize the actual screenings we have for breast, colon, cervical, & lung cancers. DO advocate for yourself but be careful who you listen to on here🫶🏾
Ppl need to understand that doctors/CDC aren't the reason ppl get diabetes. Poor access to food and preventative care is the reason. Food deserts exist. The right is demonizing MediCal/Medicare. Also, there is such thing as personal responsibility.
yea nah u can’t “mind your business” when it comes to fascism. the same cops attacking protestors, kill black ppl at traffic stops. the weapons used against palestinians are paid for by our taxes. it’s all connected, get outside
‘Hardworking immigrant’ is dehumanising too. It implies their only value is labour and not personhood.
It actually sets immigrants up to be exploited since they constantly need to demonstrate their value rather than being granted it by default.
Sometimes, they’re not traumatic at all. Talking about abortion as if it’s inherently traumatizing or damaging is a huge part of the stigma that leads to our rights to them getting taken away. All experiences should be highlighted, including those that are no big deal.
watching the pitt gives me the same feeling as reading the poppy war trilogy. like “damn you ain’t EVER had a good day” but instead of a day it’s an HOUR
Painful testimony. I remember Toni Morrison saying once of an atrocity some people had suffered, “If they can live it, certainly we can bear to hear about it.”
went to the movies to see Pride & Prejudice again in a sold out theater tonight. parking lot packed to the brim. loads of people dressed in Jedi robes for Revenge of The Sith. massive crowd coming out of Sinners buzzing. the movies are back, baby
i am just so disgusted by the notion that we have to indulge any negative attitudes toward immigration. these are people. they aren't chaos, they aren't violence. they are people. you could have been them, they could have been you. there's no morally defensible compromise.
Don’t buy this for a minute.
The MD shortage is manufactured by Congress. It exists because of corruption.
The number of residency training spots is capped by Congress under the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. While medical schools have increased enrollment to address physician shortages, the number of residency slots—required for graduates to become licensed physicians—has not grown proportionally due to a lack of federal funding for graduate medical education via Medicare.
This bottleneck disproportionately affects underserved areas, including inner cities and rural communities, where physician shortages are the worst.
Let’s talk about it 🧵
