🏠 A new home and new hope for a Ukrainian foster family of 11 in Zhytomyr 🇺🇦

A year after signing the contract, 🇪🇪 First Lady Sirje Karis & 🇺🇦 @ZelenskaUA opened a new Estonian-built home in Zhytomyr for a family who lost their home due to the war.

"Too many Ukrainian children have lost homes, parents, and childhoods. I'm deeply grateful for efforts to build family-style group homes in Ukraine," said Sirje Karis.

🛠️ With €2.3M investment, Estonia has built 3 small-group homes and 2 bomb shelters in Zhytomyr.

In partnership with #ESTDEV and @ZelenskaFND, and funded by @MFAestonia , the project expands “Room for Childhood” initatives, which provide housing for displaced foster families.
