I'm sorry but this is 1984 level nonsense. The US & Israel unprovoked murdered the leader of their country. I'm Canadian, this woman does not represent my position.
@faken_john@eldritchxy And no one denying that? Ranting broadly about a characters importance doesn't suddenly make you correct on what the terms "Character driven plot", "singlr character centric episode" and "event driven plot" means, you still can't coherently explain the difference.
She’s immediately entitled to my grandmothers home in Jerusalem because clearly she’s indigenous to Palestine and my family, which has inhabited the land since humans inhabited the region, are now foreigners because we live in an upside down world of Zionism make believe
@faken_john@eldritchxy There are other character conflicts and events/plots that were not caused by katara or they're event driven plots Katara is responding to in all those. Single character driven is literally just Katara. Brother I cannot help you with 11th grade English on twitter
@KaisThirdEye Taking me going " the comics were bad everyone sucks and is oc/racist" and getting "you hate Aang" is crazy work. I hate Aang because I don't think he would do bad colony things?
Why should I care about the comics?I'm talking about the og show. The comics are racist garbage, Aang and Zuko make a colony an independant colony state US style, the NWT successfuly colonized the SWT, Aangs future plans for his culture involved supremacy ideology and a cult.
@TikkiMania@faralong_o Was him being a racist in the comics about the earth kingdom descendants in the colonized areas not canon or are you kissing his ass and ignoring that he was a POS until two years after he became Fire Lord, selectively?
The comics have diff writers from the show, I don't see why I have to consider it canon? You torturing yourself to isn't my problem, I never brought them up in the first place. Free yourself and realize the dichotomy of Fiction, Brothers!
@TikkiMania And you’re the one who was talking about canon, the comics are canon. If I had to deal with Gene Luen Yang shitting on kataang you gotta deal with the fact that your boy was garbage for two full years after he put that barrette on his head
@faken_john@eldritchxy An entirely character driven episode is one driven entirely by that character and their conflict. Nothing else. Those other episodes are event driven or multi character plots. TSR is the only one that is entirely and only Katara conflict driven.
An Israeli fan in the stands during Ireland vs Israel says, “We lose at football, but the IDF doesn’t,” — an army that has killed more than 20,000 children in Gaza.
This is what football authorities have allowed into our stadiums and the FAI for allowing this match to go ahead.
Did you know?
In 2002, Israeli forces invaded the West Bank city of Ramallah and seized three television stations, and broadcast porn on the airways as psychological warfare against the Palestinian people
@kiyobiooru@katara_loopies -she's been taught. The portion of the fandom who came up w this hdcn are also distinctly non-white people from colonized cultures who've had long discussions about the relationship between this and the colonial attitudes towards our indigenious practices and how they use-
@kiyobiooru@katara_loopies Bloodbending is still something she's learned from her cultural elder, and she can't just put off something she's learned because she only knows it through evil, especially because it is related to her culture. She can use it for good and she should be allowed to reclaim what-
@katara_loopies I don't understand why so many of you are either being purposely obtuse or not keeping track of Kataras arc throughout the show and how TSR is treated as the culminating episode, with no interference from external events or plot whatsoever
@katara_loopies No one is arguing those episodes aren't important for Katara and don't explore or character and aren't important showcases of her. But they are not an episode singularly meant for her conflict and her alone, for a character theme written since the beginning of the show.
@coolgirl4tysuki Painted lady was still her saving a village, the blood bending episode would've been Katara centric entirely if it wasn't specifically to create a villainous caricature of a genocide survivor and write her off as only evil in the end through Aang and Sokkas own dialogue.
