NPC dialogue *usually* matches player tone. If you don't choose these options, you get a more serious experience, which is also a valid way to play.

Writers of a static TV show on the other hand have to pre-select a balance, which seems to be creating dissonance for some fans.

I think this points to an interesting hurdle writers of an adaptation like this are contending with.

Both of these are dialogue OPTIONS the player can choose if they want to. The games are pretty good about allowing players to self select the tone of their experience. (1/2)

@KitKatisWeird7 @DreamMixGames @_NATSU_KAZE_ @KanesTheName A large portion of Mario kart's player base treats it like a board game to pull off the shelf, and I can certainly imagine being frustrated if a board game required hours of solo gameplay to unlock all of the pieces.

@KitKatisWeird7 @DreamMixGames @_NATSU_KAZE_ @KanesTheName Not endorsing the decision, but I think it was an intentional decision, not an oversight — there are a lot of people who play MK pretty much exclusively as a couch co-op game, so almost all the unlockables are behind walls that you pass naturally in those game modes. @alchemicatrophy I mean, it was my second MG after Barbatos. It is more intricate than a high grade, but you also have bigger parts to work with. As long as you are careful and really pay attention to the instructions (especially in the legs) you definitely can build this!
